I'm Helen, an experienced counsellor, offering online therapy. Therapy with me is a chance to unload some of the burden and to understand more about yourself and your relationships. Together, we can explore whatever difficulties and emotions you're s鈥�

I am a UKCP(Reg) Psychotherapist, and originally trained as a Humanistic Therapeutic Counsellor. I am a qualified EMDR Practitioner and trauma specialist. I have been working therapeutically with clients since I qualified in 2012. 

My work is dedicated to supporting individuals and couples in navigating key life transitions such as a birth, infertility, adoption, difficult relationships, divorce, job challenges, or promotions, loss, illness, retirement or empty nest syndrome. I鈥�

My approach would be described as existential, integrative and person-centred. In practice, that means that my focus is on my client and their unique life experience, while also being aware of the struggles that are common to us all.  I don't have al鈥�

I work in collaboration with clients to help make sense of what is causing distress. This includes exploring new ways to acknowledge and manage feelings so they feel less overwhelming. Therapy can uncover the obstacles that lead to feelings of being鈥�

I work relationally, informed by different theoretical and practice traditions in transactional analysis. I believe we all have worth and have the capacity for positive change and personal growth. I work with adults on a long-term, open-ended basis, 鈥�

There can be lots of reasons that we reach out for support in therapy and doesn't always need to be when we are at our lowest point. Therapy can be a place where we just need to talk, feel heard and feel that there is no judgement to who or where we 鈥�
