Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. With so many therapists out there, it鈥檚 completely understandable to wonder how on earth you鈥檙e meant to choose. It can feel like a big decision, especially if you鈥檙e already carrying a lot.
About me and my therapy practice
What I offer is this: To meet you exactly where you are. No expectations, no pressure, no need to have the 鈥渞ight鈥 words. Just you, as you are, and space for us to explore how you see the world and what you鈥檙e experiencing.
A big part of my work is helping people become more aware of themselves 鈥 their feelings, their patterns, their reactions to life鈥檚 twists and turns 鈥 and then supporting them in learning how to navigate those reactions with more understanding and compassion.
鈥淲ithout awareness we are not truly alive.鈥

You don鈥檛 have to wait until everything feels like it鈥檚 falling apart to come to therapy. Many people come simply because something feels off, or because they want to understand themselves more deeply. And if you are in crisis, you鈥檙e just as welcome. There is no wrong time to reach out.
People go to the gym, and work on their bodies. Why wouldn't you do the same for your mind?
Humans are incredibly complex and fascinating beings, their resilience to life events, strength in adversity and ability to cope, change and grow, never ceases to amaze and impress me.
In my practice I am grounded, authentic, calm and down to earth. I have experience of working with (but not limited to) anxiety, self-esteem, trauma-related childhood issues, drugs, gambling, alcohol and other substance-dependency issues.
Practice description
I am based in comfortable, calm and safe practice rooms in Bristol City Centre where you will always be warmly welcomed and safely held. You can talk freely and without judgement or criticism.
We can't change what happens to us in the future, or what has happened to us in the past, but with some work, we can change our relationship to those events. There will still be challenges, but you can respond from a place of learning, understanding and compassion.
I work mindfully, relationally, thoughtfully, in a trauma-informed way, that is both creative and careful. I often work with the somatic, felt, bodily experience. I find it to be a very useful way of exploring some of our unconcious processes.
I hope to share some of what I've learnt on my journey thus far, to empower you with the tools to look after, and regulate yourself.
I don鈥檛 see myself as the expert on your life 鈥 you are. The relationship we build together is at the heart of the work. My role is to sit beside you, not above you, and to help you make sense of what feels confusing, heavy, or painful. Together, we can explore what鈥檚 happening for you, gently uncover patterns, and build tools that help you feel more grounded and supported in your day鈥憈o鈥慸ay life.
To me, the quality of our working relationship is at the core of our work together. As I believe that it鈥檚 the quality of the therapeutic relationship that does the healing.
My first session
Therapy isn鈥檛 about 鈥渇ixing鈥 you 鈥 it鈥檚 about creating the conditions where you can really connect with yourself, grow at your own pace, and move toward the life you want.
Because feeling comfortable with your therapist is so important, I offer a free 15鈥30 minute phone call. It鈥檚 a chance for us to talk, get a sense of each other, and see whether starting therapy together feels right.
I offer a sliding scale of fees based on your income, because I want therapy to feel accessible rather than out of reach. You decide where you feel you sit on that scale 鈥 it鈥檚 based on trust, honesty, and what feels manageable for you. My aim is simply to make sure that money isn鈥檛 the thing that stops you from getting the support you need.
