About me and my therapy practice

Overview of How I Work

I work in a compassionate, collaborative, and client-centred way, drawing on a wide range of evidence-based psychological approaches. As an integrative therapist, I tailor therapy to your specific needs, offering flexibility and depth to support lasting change.

Special area of training and interest are in Nuero diversity and Long term Health conditions along with interpersonal therapy and EMDR.

My approach includes skills and frameworks from EMDR, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Person Centred Counselling, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and DBT-informed practice. I take care to adapt therapy to your individual context; including those with experiences of complex trauma, neurodivergence, long-term health conditions, bereavement, or relationship difficulties.

Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. Whether you are looking to process past experiences, improve your emotional well-being, or navigate a life transition, I work alongside you at your pace , offering both structure and warmth in the therapeutic relationship.

Practice description

Practice Description

I offer a safe, reflective space for adults (16+) navigating emotional distress, life challenges, trauma, or mental health difficulties. My practice is rooted in integrative and trauma-informed care, underpinned by over 15 years of experience in NHS, occupational health, and private sector settings.

Clients often come to me for support with issues such as anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, identity concerns, neurodivergence (ADHD and autism), adverse childhood experiences, grief and loss, relational difficulties, and post-diagnosis adjustment.

I am a specialist trained in working therapeutically with neurodivergent clients and am a registered trainer by the Anna Freud Centre for training other therapists working with neurodiverse clients. Have specialist experience of working with people coming to terms with their diagnosis of Autism and ADHD, as I understand that there is very little support offered to people post diagnosis. I also have developed and run a 10 session post diagnosis group for people following their Nuerodiverse diagnosis.

Additionally, I also specialise in working with people managing chronic pain, post-viral fatigue, and other long-term health conditions, including Long Covid in particular; as this is the area i have specifically worked in since the pandemic in my NHS work.

Sessions are 50 minutes in duration (up to a maximum of 60), with an option for face-to-face or remote appointments. I believe therapy works best when we build an open, trusting relationship,  where you’re not judged, but understood.

If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, I’m happy to arrange a brief phone consultation to discuss what you’re looking for.

My first session

My First Session Details

I offer a free 10–15 minute phone consultation before booking your first session. This allows us to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, the type of support you’re looking for, and whether we might be a good fit.

The first full therapy session is a comprehensive assessment, lasting 50–60 minutes. In this session, we will explore your background, current concerns, goals for therapy, and any relevant medical, emotional, or social history. This helps us develop a shared understanding and begin shaping a personalised therapy plan.

All sessions, including assessments, are charged at £125. Face-to-face sessions may incur a small additional cost due to venue or travel considerations, which we will agree in advance.

I aim to provide a supportive and structured start to therapy, ensuring that your journey begins with clarity and collaboration.
