About me and my therapy practice
I’m here to support children, young people, and adults who are finding life tough – whether it’s stress at school or work, anxiety, family struggles, or past experiences that still hurt. Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to face it alone. I offer face-to-face sessions in Stevenage and online via video.
My Practice for Children and Young People
Growing up can be challenging. Pressures from school, friendships, exams, social isolation, or difficult life events can lead to anxiety, low mood, burnout, self-esteem issues, or self-harm. Some may feel withdrawn, unmotivated, or unsure of who they are. As a parent, it can be distressing to notice changes in your child and you may be unsure how best to help them. This is where I can help.
With over a decade’s experience in schools, CAMHS, and Childline, I provide a safe, confidential space where young people can talk openly, make sense of what’s going on, and develop coping skills. Support can be short- or longer-term, depending on need.
My Practice for Adults
Life doesn’t always go to plan. You may be feeling anxious, low, disconnected, or stuck — perhaps after a loss of a loved one, the loss of a relationship, workplace difficulties, or maybe you’ve felt this way for a long time without fully understanding why but the weight of it is still real.
I offer compassionate, collaborative counselling tailored to you, providing space to explore your thoughts and feelings, understand patterns, and work toward lasting change. I offer both short- and longer-term counselling depending on your needs.
Counselling can be a turning point — a place to feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.
Practice description
My Practice for Children and Young People
At the heart of my work is building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I understand therapy can feel unfamiliar or intimidating, especially when therapy is not your child’s idea. I prioritise creating a safe, welcoming space where your child feels seen, heard, and understood.
I involve children and young people in setting goals and decisions about their support, helping them feel empowered during difficult times. Depending on age and preference, I may use creative tools like art or play to help express feelings and experiences that can be hard to put into words.
I believe lasting change happens best when adults around the child work together. When this would be helpful, and with your consent, I collaborate with schools, CAMHS, SENCOS, and other professionals. I hold advanced safeguarding training, a DBS check, and have extensive experience working within safeguarding procedures and multi-agency teams.
My Practice for Adults
As an integrative counsellor I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, including trauma informed practice, to tailor our work to your unique needs.
With experience across the NHS, higher education, bereavement counselling, voluntary crisis support, and digital mental health services, I bring a broad understanding to support you compassionately and professionally.
At the heart of therapy is the relationship we build together. I aim to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgemental space where you feel supported to explore difficult emotions, patterns, or past experiences, growing understanding of how these may be shaping your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and relationships.
Through our work, you may begin to feel more connected — to yourself and others— and grow in confidence to manage life's challenges. Over time, triggers often lose their intensity, relationships can improve, and your life can feel more authentic and fulfilling. At the heart of my practice is giving you a sense of hope.
