Availability
I currently have availability for new clients and offer flexible appointment times throughout the week. I work Monday to Friday, with both daytime and evening sessions available. I also offer Saturday morning appointments. This range of availability means I can often accommodate clients with busy or changing schedules.
Sessions are offered in-person (in Pool, Redruth, Cornwall), online, or by phone - whichever feels most comfortable and convenient for you.
If you would like to arrange an appointment, I also offer a free 20-minute initial telephone or online call to help us explore what you’re looking for in therapy and to answer any questions you might have.
Concessions are available for clients on a low income, students, and trainee counsellors. Please get in touch to discuss.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor, working with adults and young people who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck. My approach is warm, supportive and practical. I focus on helping you gain clarity, improve self-awareness, and make small, manageable changes that lead to meaningful long-term improvements.
I offer both short-term solution-focused therapy and longer-term psychodynamic work, depending on your needs and preferences. Solution-focused counselling is ideal if you’re looking to work on a specific issue and want to focus on practical ways forward. It helps you identify your strengths and resources, set goals, and build confidence to make changes.
For those who want to explore issues from the past that may be affecting them now, I also offer longer-term work that looks at how early experiences can shape patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating.
I’ve worked extensively in the charity and education sectors, supporting clients who’ve experienced abuse, trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and more. I’ve also run group workshops and supported parents and students around issues like confidence, bullying and school attendance.
Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on what matters most to you.
Practice description
In my counselling practice, I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is troubling you. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, grief, relationships, or work stress - counselling can help you find clarity, strength, and a way forward.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, especially when life already feels overwhelming. My aim is to meet you where you are, and to support you in taking small, realistic steps towards the changes you want to make.
We’ll explore how your current struggles may be connected to past experiences, helping you let go of unhelpful patterns and develop healthier ways of coping. We’ll also focus on building your confidence, improving self-care and shifting negative thinking - which can all have a positive impact on your day-to-day life.
As a registered member of the Â鶹Դ´, I adhere to their ethical framework and undertake regular supervision and training. I work in person from in Pool, Redruth, Cornwall, and also offer online or telephone sessions for convenience and flexibility.
My first session
I offer a free initial telephone or online call to help you decide whether I am the right counsellor for you. This is an opportunity for us to briefly talk about what’s bringing you to counselling and what you’d like to get from the process. You’re also welcome to ask any questions you may have about how I work.
If you decide to proceed, our first full session will allows us to explore your needs in more detail and decide together how best to move forward. We’ll look at what’s going on in your life right now, any relevant past experiences, and the goals you may have for therapy. There’s no pressure to have all the answers - this is simply a starting point.
Sessions are £40 for 60 minutes, and I offer reduced rates for those on low incomes, students, and trainee counsellors.
