**Please note the only clients abroad I cannot see are those actually residing within Mauritius or Australia as my Insurance doesn't cover me for these as I have ties in those countries.

Practice description
YOUR JOURNEY:
This is your journey and, after an initial assessment we can start your journey together. I will do my best to walk with you step by step at your comfort level. We can stop any time although I do encourage a minimum of 6 sessions if possible to look in more detail at the presenting issue and at least 20 sessions if possible be able to give us the opportunity to delve and explore for a more cathartic, insightful, healing experience.
Let us walk this journey together.
APPROACH:
Person-Centred Integrative Counselling Psychotherapist.
THERAPIST’S ‘TOOLBOX’:
‘Toolbox’ is a term used to describe a therapist’s collective bank of knowledge, experiences, resources, approaches and training that they have decided may be helpful approaches that may help, heal or assist another.
The tools in each therapists ‘toolbox’ may differ considerably as each therapist is a unique combination of their own personal experiences.
I give my clients the option to pick and choose which approach/es they most feel comfortable with.
Mine include the following:
* Counselling
* Psychotherapy
* Mindfulness
* Energy / Chakra Balancing
* Meditation
* Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
* I am fully Insured for these approaches.
SELF REFLECTION AND PROGRESS MONITORING:
Although not essential, if you feel comfortable with it I encourage some way of self reflection such as writing/ poetry/ art (kept in a safe place).
We can see your journey unfold over the weeks is via a simple questionnaire called the ‘CORE System’ (Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation). This helps us observe your personal evolution on our journey together in therapy. We do one at the beginning and end of the sessions and if you are interested we can do it more regularly in between.
I find clients who do fill these in with me are sometimes very pleasantly surprised by what they see or realise over our weeks together.
Another questionnaire at the beginning and end of therapy is for your own insight into any changes that you feel occurred.
My first session
What can I expect from our first session?:
Our first session is simply to touch base but will include an assessment (with questionnaires) to help give me further insight to see if I feel I can help you with your presenting issue and if I feel I am suitable for you.
We will get to know each other a little and see if you feel comfortable with me. If so we may cover what we may expect in future sessions and the approaches I have in my ‘toolbox’ and which ones may appeal to you.
By the end of our first session you can decide if you wish to continue sessions or not with me.
How much and how long is a first session?
Via the Harleytherapy.com platform my sessions cost from £35 (for concessions) up to £40 for both Face to face and online options.
Sessions last 50 minutes but the first session is an assessment to see if I can help you with the issue you are coming to therapy with and that can take between 50 minutes to an hour.
At the Tom Allan CrossReach Glasgow Centre sessions are £60 per session and takes 50 minutes but the first session is an assessment to see if I can help you with the issue you are coming to therapy with and that can take between 50 minutes to an hour.
