Availability
I currently offer availability for individual therapy sessions within my private practice, alongside individual and group reflective practice sessions within organisational and professional settings.About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, relational and emotionally attuned space where you can slow down, breathe a little more deeply, and gently explore whatever you may be carrying. Many people come to therapy feeling emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, alone within their relationships, or carrying experiences that feel difficult to hold or fully make sense of on their own.
My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate and reflective. I believe the ways we learn to cope, relate and protect ourselves often develop through experiences where we may not have felt fully safe, seen or understood. Therapy can offer a different kind of relational experience, one where you can begin to feel met with care, listened to deeply, and supported at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
I work with adults and young people experiencing relationship difficulties, grief and bereavement, relational trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, attachment difficulties and the lasting impact of painful life experiences. I have particular experience working within trauma-informed settings, including specialist education, residential care and foster care services.
Alongside my counselling and therapy work, I also facilitate reflective practice for professionals working in emotionally demanding roles, including school staff, designated safeguarding leads, foster carers and residential care practitioners. My work is grounded in the belief that emotional safety, reflection and genuine human connection are central to healing, growth and emotional wellbeing.
Practice description
My practice offers a calm, reflective and emotionally supportive space where you can bring whatever feels important for you to explore. I understand that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you are used to carrying things alone or have not always felt fully understood within relationships.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship itself. I aim to create a space where you can feel emotionally safe, accepted and able to explore your experiences without judgement or pressure. Sessions move at a pace that feels manageable for you, allowing time for trust, understanding and deeper reflection to develop naturally.
Alongside talking therapy, I may integrate expressive arts and creative approaches where helpful. This can include sand tray, imagery, metaphor, symbols and storytelling. There is never any expectation to be creative or artistic. These approaches simply offer another way of exploring thoughts, feelings and experiences that can sometimes feel difficult to express through words alone.
Clients often describe therapy with me as calming, grounding and deeply supportive. Over time, many begin to feel more connected to themselves, more able to understand their emotional world, and more supported in developing healthier and more authentic relationships with themselves and others.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting a sense of one another and to gently explore what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, especially if you are used to carrying things alone or have struggled to feel fully understood in the past.
There is no pressure to share everything straight away. We move at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you. The session offers space to talk about what feels important, ask any questions you may have, and begin considering how therapy might support you.
I aim to offer a calm and compassionate space where you can feel able to speak openly, explore your experiences with care, and begin to feel more connected to yourself and your emotional world.
