About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to Distinct-Minds
Distinct-Minds is an online therapeutic space created especially for neurodivergent adults and couples.
As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate a world that is designed for neurotypical minds, and how easy it is to feel overwhelmed, misunderstood or unseen. Beyond this, I also recognize how relational, situational, biological, systemic, and structural factors, can contribute to confusion, burnout, trauma, and the experience of being 鈥渙thered.鈥 And how such experiences can impact identity, relationships, self-esteem, well-being and functioning.
I offer a therapeutic approach that is affirming, evidence-informed, and tailored to the lived experiences of neurodivergent adults and couples. My core aim is to help you move beyond whatever is holding you back, and to support you to find the calm, clarity, and connection you seek, so that you can flourish.
In my practice, I combine humanistic values with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, parts work, and somatic techniques. Together, we will work on your goals and regularly check our progress to ensure that you feel heard, supported, and empowered.
If you are seeking a therapist who will respect your experiences, has an understanding of the complexities of neurodivergent life, and who walk alongside you with care and compassion, I warmly invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute conversation.
Practice description
Over the past 17 years, I鈥檝e worked across therapeutic practice, coaching, clinical supervision, and senior leadership. My career has been guided by my deep commitment to relational, evidence-informed, and neurodivergent-affirming practices.
I鈥檝e held roles including:
Head of Counselling, University of Cambridge
Head of Student and Staff Counselling, University of East Anglia
Psychosocial Counsellor, Specialist Palliative Care
Counsellor, Community Addiction Services
Lecturer in Counselling
My professional and personal experience has given me a rich understanding of the psychological, emotional, systemic, and structural challenges that neuordivergent people face. And reinforced my belief that people thrive best when support is tailored to their unique needs, wants and goals.
I can offer you a therapeutic relationship that is:
Collaborative, empowering, co-designed, and regularly reviewed for effectiveness and fit.
Flexible and inclusive, and respects your individual processing and communication preferences.

My first session
What to Expect
Your first session offers us a starting point to get to know each other. We will talk about and explore the challenges that have brought you to therapy, your goals and aims, and focus on your strengths, interests, sensory preferences, and preferred ways of communicating. So that we can create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported.
Individual Therapy
In our work together, we can explore the experiences, relationships, and environments that have been impacting your well-being, distress, and functioning. If you have been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, burnt out, or disconnected, we can take time to gently unpack what鈥檚 happening for you. Equally, we can focus on what is working well for you, and explore ways in which you can build on these experiences to create more balance, calm and connection.
Couples Therapy
I offer a supportive therapeutic relationship where both partners can feel heard, validated, and respected. Whether you are in a neurodivergent鈥搉eurotypical partnership, or a relationship where both partners are neurodivergent. I understand how unique challenges can arise from communication preferences, sensory needs, and daily rhythms.
Sessions are most frequently held together as a couple but can also allow for each individual partner separately if and when required. From a foundation of trust, curiosity, and respect, we can jointly nurture a therapeutic space that provides clarity, empathy, understanding, and practical steps to help you move beyond your current challenges.
Practicalities in session
You are welcome to bring items of comfort, move in ways that support you, or adjust your space to suit your individual needs, so that you feel safe, comfortable, and able to achieve the most from your therapeutic process.

About me and my therapy practice
I鈥檓 an HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist and Specialist Accredited 麻豆原创 Supervisor, and I鈥檝e been offering clinical supervision for the past 13 years. What matters most to me is creating a space where you feel supported, encouraged and able to bring your whole self to the work.
Supervision with me is relaxed, energising and genuinely collaborative. My aim is to help you feel clearer, more confident and more connected to the kind of practitioner you want to be.
What Supervision With Me Feels Like
This is a space where you can:
鈥 Talk openly about your work鈥攚ithout judgement
鈥 Explore challenges and feel grounded, not overwhelmed
鈥 Celebrate what鈥檚 going well (we often forget to do this!)
鈥 Strengthen your resilience and self-care
鈥 Grow your identity, voice and confidence as an ethical practitioner
Whether you're in training, newly qualified or have years of experience, you鈥檙e welcome exactly as you are. You don鈥檛 have to 鈥済et it right鈥 here. Supervision is a place to think, feel, untangle, imagine and grow.
How We Can Work Together
Live (synchronous) supervision:
鈥 Video
鈥 Audio-only
鈥 Instant messaging via MS Teams
鈥 Available for individuals or groups
Asynchronous:
鈥 One-to-one email supervision
These options give you the flexibility to choose what best fits your needs, energy and working style.
My Approach
I鈥檓 warm, steady and human in the way I supervise. I鈥檒l champion your growth, respect your individuality and stay alongside you as you find your way through the challenges, questions and victories of practice.
If you鈥檙e looking for supervision that feels encouraging, safe and genuinely useful, I鈥檇 love to meet you.

Practice description
I offer a supportive, restorative and genuinely collaborative supervision space鈥攕omething we鈥檒l shape together so it really works for you.
My practice is grounded in the 麻豆原创 Ethical Framework, but the way we work will always be tailored to you鈥攜our stage of development, your therapeutic style, and the way you prefer to work online.
Each session (or group) is guided by what you need that day. You set the focus, and we explore what will be most helpful for you right now.
Because we鈥檙e working online, I also pay close attention to anything that could get lost in translation鈥攎isunderstandings, transference, countertransference, projection or fantasy. If these show up, we鈥檒l navigate them gently and openly, using them as opportunities for insight, reflection and growth rather than obstacles.
To keep things safe, clear and grounded, I make sure we have:
鈥 Clear and transparent contracting
鈥 A shared understanding of our responsibilities
鈥 A simple 鈥渘etiquette鈥 agreement for working online
鈥 Regular reviews of how supervision feels for you
鈥 Careful attention to all ethical, moral and legal considerations
My aim is to create a space where you can think freely, feel supported, and continue growing as the practitioner you want to be.
My first session
After our initial 15-minute chat, if you鈥檇 like to go ahead, I鈥檒l send over my contract so you can look through the terms in your own time and bring any questions to our first session.
I鈥檒l also send a short supervisee intake form (via MS Forms). It gathers the essentials and gives you space to share what you鈥檙e hoping for from supervision before we get started.
In our first session, we鈥檒l go over the contract, general housekeeping and the practical aspects of working online. The aim here is simply to make sure everything feels clear, safe and supportive, so that we can build our relationship on trust, respect and curiosity.
For group supervision, we鈥檒l take a little time together to shape a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone feels heard, understood and valued.
My fees:
鈥 拢80 per 50 minutes 鈥 one-to-one supervision
鈥 拢90 per 50 minutes 鈥 group supervision
