About me and my therapy practice

Do you need somewhere you can feel safe to explore thoughts and feelings and reflect on past experiences and relationships? Would you like to gain an insight into where your feelings of anxiety, depression or low self-esteem may arise from? Would you like to feel more positive about yourself and more resilient? I would love to guide you through a journey of self-discovery, to be alongside you, in a professional and non-judgemental way, as you develop a greater understanding of who you are and why you think and feel the way you do. With my extensive experience, theoretical knowledge and training, I can help you to make links, identify blindspots and break free of old habits and patterns and self-limiting beliefs. Whilst exploring thoughts and feelings at greater depth, I can also assist with in-the-moment coping strategies to allow you to feel more resilient and better able to really engage with your therapy. My counselling approach is Humanistic and relational, which simply means that I believe in the potential of all people. If you give us the right conditions, we can and will flourish. It is my job as counsellor to provide the 'right conditions' and for me this is all about our relationship, because it is very difficult to explore difficult feelings with someone we do not feel comfortable with. This is why I offer a free initial consultation.

I enjoy working with a wide-range of mental health issues, but my areas of special interest are; Adverse Childhood Experiences, Anxiety, Depression and Low Self-Esteem.

Practice description

My counselling practice is based in a peaceful, village setting close to Market Harborough, easily accessible from South Leicestershire and North Northamptonshire. Off-road parking is available.

Appointments take place at my office in Foxton or online. Clients are welcome to see me exclusively in person or online or a mix of both. Sessions lasts for 50 minutes.

I work with short-term and long-term clients and sessions take place weekly or fortnightly.

I offer reduced rates for Counselling students in training.

Supervision Opportunity – Free Supervision Available Until July 2026

I am currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision with the University of Salford and am offering free supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists as part of my training requirements, until July 2026.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative therapist with 12 years’ experience, working with adults and young people across a range of settings including private practice, schools, prisons, local councils, and private organisations. My therapeutic approach integrates humanistic and psychodynamic principles, drawing on a relational and collaborative way of working.

Practice description

Within supervision, I aim to provide a reflective and supportive space that encourages professional growth, ethical practice, and personal awareness. I am particularly interested in the development of counsellors in the early stages of their practice, though I am open to working with practitioners at all levels of experience.

Supervision sessions are offered at a frequency of 1.5 hours per month, either:

In person – based in South Leicestershire

Online – via a secure video platform

If you would like to find out more or discuss your supervision requirements in more detail. Please get in touch for an informal chat.

My first session
