About me and my therapy practice
I work with many different issues relating with Bereavement, Adoption whether this be the adoptee or the adopter, Trauma, Attachment Disorders, PTSD, Relationship difficulties/Family Issues individually or as a couple, Low Self Esteem, Anxiety/Panic Attacks, OCD, Social Anxiety, Depression, Self Harm, Stress, Anger, Disassociation Disorder, Loss whether this be redundancy, retirement, loss of identity.
My part is to support you on your journey in coming to your own conclusions about whatever you maybe struggling with or unable to make sense of, your part is to take the first step which is often the hardest to begin our therapeutic relationship together, enabling you to make the choices of how you live your life and what you may wish to change or not whatever the case maybe. My clients often come from a dark place and are feeling lost often with very little sense of identity, however through the therapeutic process and therapeutic relationship built on trust often end in a much lighter place and have a clearer understanding of themselves in turn enabling them to have a healthier sense of emotional well-being and live the life they want to have.
Whatever your journey I will be right alongside supporting you every step of the way.
I work as a link-Barnardos Adoption therapist
London Adopt-East Therapist
Police Officers Fire Arms Association
Practice description
I work with individuals, adults, adolescents, children and with couples/families.
The type of therapy I offer is on an integrative basis, working with CBT, DBT, Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Trans-Actional Analysis and Mindfulness. Meaning I offer short-term counselling often relating with CBT or longer term psychotherapy relating with psychodynamic principles.
This enables me to meet my client's own individual needs.
My first session
I offer an initial consultation for you to discuss with me the issues you may be experiencing and any questions about my practise you may want to ask. This enables you the client to explore what you hope to gain from counselling/psychotherapy and help you to find out if you feel I am the right therapist for you.
As the therapeutic relationship is built on trust the initial first session plays a big part in this.
