Hello, I'm Lynne, welcome to my profile; whatever the reason for your search for counselling you can rest assured that I am here to help you to make sense of what is causing you to feel stressed, anxious or worried.

I am a qualified counsellor with over 20 years experience-  working within palliative care and for a national bereavement organisation.

I have been accredited with Âé¶¹Ô­´´ since 2013 and have a background in nursing.

I am experienced in working with: 

- carers, ongoing support and self-care & anticipatory grief

- impacts of life-limiting illness, ill-health, chronic health conditions, disability and treatments 

- bereavement in all situations, including sudden death, suicide, homicide

- impacts of progressive neurological conditions

- loss

- relationships

- life-changes

- pet loss

- pressures on family life

- spirituality

I bring my experience and a calm space for you; I believe that the experience of counselling can be life-changing and that however difficult your situation, counselling can help you to find a way forward.




Practice description

I work in a person-centred way, placing our relationship firmly at centre and working at your pace. I also use solution-focused therapy; building on what works for you. My counselling services are tailored to help you.

I offer sessions at your home within Lichfield and area. You may also choose to have a mix of home and online /phone sessions, dependent on your circumstance.  If your preference is to be at home then we can make a therapeutic space there for your counselling sessions. 

I also offer online sessions wherever you reside, or by phone if you prefer. This means you can have therapy in a your own space and this is beneficial for many clients.

Sessions are 60 minutes, weekly or fortnightly; we will work collaboratively around this. It can be helpful for some clients to move to less frequent sessions until our planned ending. 

It can also be helpful for busy carers and for clients who are unwell to have a mix of shorter 30 minute sessions (£25) if this is beneficial; we can discuss this within your counselling to best ensure that the therapy meets your needs.

I welcome previous clients to return for 'top-up' session/s subject to my availability. This can be helpful for ongoing self-care within a trusting relationship.

My first session


After receiving your enquiry we can arrange a free initial online or phone appointment of up to 30 minutes to see if I suit your needs and for me to answer any questions you may have. It is important for you to feel comfortable with me and that find me to be approachable.

If I am not able to offer you counselling, I will try to signpost you to another counsellor or service.

I will also explain about my Contract of How We Will Work Together and my Privacy Agreement.
