About me and my therapy practice

Addiction - If you or someone close to you is affected by addiction - whether to substances like drink or drugs, or other compulsive behaviours like gambling, pornography, or sex - contact me to benefit from counselling by gaining insight into the triggers and the underlying emotional needs driving your actions.

I provide space within which you can develop understanding, coping strategies, build resilience, and create a structured plan moving forward, breaking the cycle of addiction and working towards sustained recovery and a healthier life.

Other counselling I offer ....

Bereavement/loss can have serious impacts on your life such as sadness, anger, and guilt. I can help you understand the grieving process, to honour your loss, and develop healthy coping strategies to manage the pain. This assists in rebuilding a sense of meaning and purpose, ultimately supporting you to adjust to life after loss and integrating your experience into a new chapter.

Issues arising in your Employment can impact your overall health and welfare. I help you to explore their origins and impact, and to explore what changes you may be able to make.

Anxiety and depression arise from a wide variety of sources or situations, provoking intense feelings of worry and unease, among others. I offer space in which to unpack and explore your feelings, and the thought patterns and concerns that contribute to those feelings, work with you to develop coping strategies, to reduce the urge to avoid certain situations, and to develop a greater sense of calm, enabling a move toward a life with more confidence and less fear.

Kink aware

If you identify as being part of the kink or BDSM community I offer kink friendly, empathic, non-judgemental counselling.

What to expect.

Counselling typically consists of weekly sessions, but other appropriate arrangements can be negotiated.

I charge £60/session, which typically lasts 50 minutes.

Practice description

My practice is based principally in Coventry but I can arrange face to face meetings in Nuneaton, and I offer online sessions via WhatsApp as the need dictates.

Counselling becomes effective as, in a confidential space, I listen to you in a non-judgemental way whereby you can feel safe to explore the issues you've brought. From that basis we can work towards you resolving or reconciling those issues.

Clinical Supervision fulfils a Counsellor's ethical duty under Â鶹ԭ´´ guidelines. It enables a Counsellor to remain focussed on their clients' work and to identify issues arising from within their own experience that may hamper their clients' progress.

Professional registration

As a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹ԭ´´ No 500790) I am bound by the Â鶹ԭ´´ Ethical Framework and hold professional liability insurance.

I source and receive continuing professional development (CPD) training.

I work in conjunction with a Clinical Supervisor, a requirement of ethical working. The Supervisor monitors my work effectiveness.

About me and my therapy practice

Supervision focuses on the Counsellor’s work with their clients,  to maintain and enhance the therapeutic relationship, and confirm ethical practice.

I trained as an integrative therapist and reflect that in my supervision work.

I am kink aware.

Alternative strategies can be discussed and modelled during the session as required.
