About me and my therapy practice

I believe that feeling genuinely heard and understood is an important part of counselling. I work collaboratively and at your pace, creating a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever has brought you to counselling. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and adapt my way of working to you as an individual, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we can make sense of your experiences, understand patterns that may be affecting you and explore ways to help you move forward.

Practice description

With two Master’s degrees and over 15 years’ experience in mental health, I bring extensive knowledge and specialist experience in trauma, grief and bereavement, alongside broad experience of working with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

I understand how deeply difficult experiences and loss can affect us, and how difficult it can be to know where to turn for support. Whether you are experiencing grief, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, trauma or significant life changes, I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed and non-judgemental space to explore what you are going through.

My aim is to help you make sense of your experiences, develop a greater understanding of yourself and explore what you may need to move forward.

My first session

We’ll also take time to discuss any worries or questions you may have about therapy and how I work. Availability

I currently have availability for supervision on Tuesdays, with evening appointments available on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, and Saturday mornings.

About me and my therapy practice

I see supervision as a collaborative and reflective space where you can explore your practice openly, think through challenges and develop your confidence as a practitioner. I aim to create a supportive, safe and non-judgemental environment where you can bring both the things that are going well and the things you may be finding difficult.

My approach is warm, curious and collaborative. I will support you to reflect on your work, consider different perspectives and develop your own clinical thinking, while also offering appropriate challenge when it is helpful. I recognise that every practitioner is different, so I adapt my approach to your experience, needs and way of working.

Practice description

With over 15 years’ experience in mental health, I bring extensive clinical, leadership and supervision experience to my work. I have worked with children, young people, adults and families across a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, with particular specialist experience in trauma, grief and bereavement.

I hold two Master’s degrees and a Diploma in Supervision, and have worked as a supervisor for the past eight years. During this time, I have supervised counsellors, therapists and professionals from a range of disciplines, as well as supporting many trainee therapists throughout their training and professional development.

Alongside my clinical work, my experience in management and leadership has given me a broad understanding of the professional, ethical and organisational responsibilities involved in practice. I bring a wealth of experience to supervision, offering a reflective and supportive space while also providing appropriate challenge, guidance and professional oversight. My approach is grounded in ethical practice, professional development and supporting supervisees to develop confidence and autonomy in their work.

My first session

Our first supervision session will be an opportunity to get to know each other, talk about your experience and current practice, and explore what you are looking for from supervision. We can discuss your clients, your areas of interest and development, and how you would like us to work together. We will also establish a clear supervision agreement, including practical arrangements, confidentiality, boundaries and ethical responsibilities.

I want supervision to feel like a space where you can be honest and curious about your practice, so there is no expectation that you need to arrive with everything figured out.
