I trained in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. The medical community, such as the NHS, highly recognises Psychotherapy, as this type of therapy or counselling helps people understand how the past has influenced the present. Psychotherapy offers a wealth of support and insight, helping individuals, couples, and groups gain a deeper understanding of their way of being.
Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (T.A.) is a recognised form of talking therapy that enables a better understanding of the self,
I help individuals and couples recognise how the past influences the present, creating a better ability to move forward with greater acceptance, which is vital for mental health and well-being.
I have trained in baby loss awareness and can guide the bereaved parent to understand loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth or sudden infant death. Coping through heartbreaking times calls for compassion, and I provide a space for you to discuss the most challenging times.
I have trained in the therapeutic approaches of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and integrate knowledge of this and other therapies taught, such as Mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy (CFT), and person-centred therapy, providing a flexible approach to finding solutions.
Therapy can help to ease the suffering of anxiety and depression, understand emotions, create better boundaries, and build self-esteem and resilience.
Therapy is a great starting point for understanding oneself on the journey of self-discovery.
Reaching out at a time of need shows excellent courage.
Practice description
Here are a few things that I can help with
Supporting neurodivergent and neuro-diverse individuals and couples with dyslexia, Autism and ADHD coping strategies, therapy helps with finding better ways to cope.
Communication style: I help clients understand their personality, communication style, and reactivity, as well as identify their triggers and anger management strategies.
Relationships: I help couples understand where things began to change and work towards improving relationships, moving towards a healthier relationship, or dissolving and promoting individuality. Sometimes, having a voice in therapy provides the courage to engage in conversations that prove to be challenging.
Grief: When someone passes away, it can be hard to know how to grieve and anticipate grief. Stages of cancer are challenging to prepare for the ending alone; therapy can help with learning how to have essential conversations.
Child loss, the loss of a child to miscarriage, or early infant death, SIDS. I am in training to provide rainbow counselling; therapy offers a confidential environment, and you are no longer alone.
(not a conclusive list)
My first session
What happens in the first session?
There is some paperwork, such as an intake form, that allows me to support you in the best way possible. I usually send this via email and discuss it during our first session.
It would be helpful to have any medication details, including the doctor's information, on hand, as this would be beneficial should you need extra support.
Payment is typically required 24 hours before the session, and banking details are provided once a session is confirmed.
I am interested in what has brought you to therapy. I encourage you to discuss how things are working or not working in your life and what you expect to gain from treatment. I'd like to understand your needs and explore how we can work together.
Meeting online or by phone? How to prepare: find a confidential space for 50 minutes, grab a cup of tea or water, and some tissues. Therapy can bring tears and laughter; you want to be comfortable.
I provide a confidential environment for face-to-face, online, or phone therapy.

I have spaces for supervisees
£75 per 60 minutes
£95 per 90 minutes
About me and my therapy practice
I work with supervisees in a reflective capacity, helping to understand and nurture yourself and the client.
Do you feel stuck with clients or are not sure of the way transference works?
Do you wish to understand complementary transactions that are clues to your attunement with the client?
Do you wish to learn the art of using metaphors and imaginings to help the client move forward more subtly?
Supervision
I work from the seven-eyed model of supervision (Peter Hawkins and Aisling McMahon)
That focuses on:
1. The client: who they are and what their issue is, what they chose to share, which area of their life they wanted to explore, and how this session's content might relate to content from previous sessions.
2. The strategies and interventions of the supervisee with the client, using metaphors and images
3. The relationship between the client and the supervisee; how the supervisee's history affects the therapeutic relationship.
4. The supervisee, the transference and countertransference that could affect the therapy they provide.
5. The supervisory relationship: the parallel process that may play out during supervision.
6. The supervisor focuses on their own process and how their work with the supervisee affects the supervision relationship.
7. Focus on the wider context: professional codes of ethics, the context the supervisee works from, the relationship with other agencies or other supervisors, social, cultural, and political beliefs, and economic context.

I am trained in Transactional Analysis and have experience in other modalities, such as person-centred, cognitive behavioural therapies, acceptance, and commitment therapies, including mindfulness. I encourage therapists to observe the therapeutic alliance to understand transference and countertransference. I also see supervision as a way to gain confidence as a therapist.
