About me and my therapy practice

I am a highly experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Couples Therapist, registered with the Â鶹ԭ´´, offering once or twice weekly psychotherapy for individuals and couples on both a short‑ and long‑term basis. I work in private practice in Chichester and Wimbledon.

My background includes extensive Psychodynamic training and six further years of specialist study in Jungian Depth Psychology. This dual training allows me to work with emotional and relational patterns as well as deeper symbolic processes, the unconscious, and the ongoing potential for psychological growth, individuation and the discovery of one’s true self.

Areas of Expertise

I work with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, attachment and abandonment concerns, loss and bereavement, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, phobias, addiction, panic disorder, OCD, anger, low self‑esteem, parenting and family issues, separation and divorce, affairs, life transitions, chronic illness, and suicidal thoughts.

How Psychodynamic & Jungian Therapy Work

Psychodynamic and Jungian approaches explore the unconscious processes that shape how we feel, relate and behave. Present day distress often has roots in earlier experiences that continue to influence us outside awareness. By bringing these patterns into consciousness, therapy allows for greater insight, emotional clarity and the possibility of lasting change. Jungian work also considers dreams, symbols and deeper layers of meaning, supporting the gradual unfolding of one’s authentic self.

When You May Seek Therapy

People often seek therapy when life feels painful, confusing, overwhelming or directionless. You may feel stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about the future. Therapy offers a confidential, non‑judgmental space to explore these experiences and reconnect with your inner world.

Practice description

In my practice, therapy is a reflective and collaborative process where we explore the deeper patterns shaping your emotional life. Many people come to me with anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties, often feeling stuck in cycles they cannot fully explain. Together, we look at both your present concerns and the underlying dynamics, unconscious expectations, early experiences, and long‑standing relational patterns, that may be influencing how you feel and relate to others today.

Our work focuses on developing insight, strengthening your emotional awareness, and understanding how past experiences live on in the present. I provide a calm, thoughtful space where you can slow down, notice what arises and make sense of feelings that may have been confusing, overwhelming or pushed aside.  As we explore your inner world, you will begin to recognise patterns of thought, behaviour and relating that once felt automatic. This growing self‑understanding opens the door to new ways of responding to challenges, connecting and relating to others and seeing yourself.

The therapeutic relationship itself is an important part of the process. Together we pay attention to what happens between us, using it as a window into your emotional and relational landscape. This helps us work through difficulties not just in theory, but as they emerge in real time, making the insights more meaningful and transformative.

Therapy with me is not rushed or formulaic. We move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, balancing depth with support. My aim is to help you cultivate lasting change, greater self‑knowledge, more flexible ways of coping and relationships that feel more secure and fulfilling.  Over time, clients often describe feeling more grounded, more themselves, and better able to navigate life’s complexities with clarity and confidence.

My first session

First Contact

I offer a brief, free 15 minute telephone consultation, so you can get a sense of me, which is also an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process.

Initially, I offer a consultation appointment for assessment purposes for both individuals and couples, which usually takes up to an hour.  Ongoing weekly sessions are for 50 minutes and are on the same day and time each week.

There is no assessment form to fill out but I will be asking questions about yourself, your family, your childhood, your work, current and past medical history and other relevant information.

I warmly encourage you to reach out and look forward to hearing from you.
