About me and my therapy practice

With over 20 years of experience, I am still passionate about the effectiveness of Integrative Counselling, which tailors different approaches depending each client's differing needs' When Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-esteem, Trauma and Loss can start to feel overwhelming I can help to process these feelings and find helpful coping strategies. Though these feelings are all normal under the circumstances, they can feel isolating, confusing and that no one could help. Most importantly you need to feel truly listened to and understood at your own pace. This allows you to be your true self or discover who you really are if you feel 'lost'. Counselling can help you to achieve clarity and balance, which can lead to a more fulfilling and positive way forward.


Practice description

I provide a safe, friendly and non-judgemental environment to confidentially explore and process difficult thoughts and feelings, These feelings will often be around issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Bereavement, Abuse and bullying, Low confidence and Self-esteem, OCD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Sexual Abuse, Self-harm and suicide.

No feelings are wrong, but sometimes they can lead us to make unhelpful choices. I use such therapies as Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Transpersonal, Gestalt, Cognitive/ Behavioural Therapy and relaxation, it is important to find out what is helpful and what is not, in an honest and open way. By developing a trusting relationship between clients and myself, positive ways forward can be achieved.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and, ideally, weekly to start with.

Counselling and the potential it has for an effective and happier way forward never ceases to hearten me. When life becomes too hard to see the wood for the trees, having someone to walk with along the difficult and often scary path of processing difficult feelings (without judgement or someone ‘telling us' what to do) can empower us and find peace.



My first session

Our first session is 50 minutes long here and  will involve some gathering of information plus what you would like from sessions.

We will also have time to process counselling work.
