About me and my therapy practice

My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion. I offer a calm, respectful space where clients can explore what’s troubling them without fear of judgment. Many people I work with tell me they feel deeply heard, supported, and valued — something I believe is at the heart of meaningful therapeutic work.

I integrate several therapeutic approaches depending on your needs, including Person-Centred Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). My work is also attachment-informed, helping clients understand how early relational experiences may still affect them today.

I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, low self-worth, addiction, relationship difficulties, and trauma. Trauma can have a lasting impact on how we see ourselves and the world — together, we can begin to gently explore its effects and support your process of healing.

Clients often express appreciation for the thoughtful, compassionate support they receive and the gentle but clear way we work through challenges together. Therapy is not about quick fixes — but it can be life-changing when we create the right space for growth and recovery.

Please feel free to get in touch if you’d like to arrange an initial session or have any questions about how I work.

Practice description

At Eleos Counselling in West Sussex, we offer a compassionate and confidential space where you can begin to explore what’s troubling you, at your own pace and without judgment. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or a sense of feeling stuck, we are here to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change.

With many years of experience working with a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, we bring depth, care, and clinical understanding to every session. Our therapists are fully qualified, insured, and registered with professional bodies such as the Â鶹ԭ´´. We are also accredited members of Addiction Professionals and have worked extensively with individuals navigating addiction, loss, perfectionism, identity, and life transitions.

Our approach is grounded in compassion. We draw on Person-Centred Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, and attachment-informed work to help you better understand yourself and develop the emotional tools to move forward.

Clients often tell us they feel deeply heard and accepted, and that therapy has offered them a fresh perspective — one that’s rooted in self-awareness and kindness, rather than criticism or shame.

We offer both in-person and online sessions, with flexible hours to suit busy lives. If you're considering therapy, we would be honoured to support you on your journey.

My first session

Your first session with Eleos Counselling is a chance for us to begin getting to know each other in a calm, welcoming space. There’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready — instead, this session is about creating a sense of safety and trust.

We’ll explore what’s brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, talk about any previous therapy experiences, and begin identifying what feels most important to focus on. We understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, so we move at your pace, with compassion and respect at the heart of everything we do.

At Eleos Counselling, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. With many years of experience supporting people through a wide range of emotional challenges — from anxiety and low self-worth to trauma, addiction, and relationship difficulties — we tailor the work to you as an individual.

In your first session, we may also gently introduce an informal assessment process. This helps us get a clearer picture of how things are for you and ensures that the support we offer is grounded, thoughtful, and right for your needs.

We do not offer a discounted rate for this session, as it forms an important part of the therapeutic relationship and the work that follows. However, it is an opportunity for you to see how we work and decide whether we feel like the right fit for you.

Most of all, you can expect to be met with warmth, honesty, and genuine care — from the very first session onward.
