About me and my therapy practice

My core training is Person Centred, which is the basis for all the work I undertake and is rooted in empathy, honesty and being non-judgemental.  Each client is accepted and valued as themselves.

I offer a confidential space where you are heard.  I provide an opportunity to explore problem areas in your life within a relationship of trust, empathy and therapeutic challenge.  The aim is to help you to understand yourself more and to reach your potential, perhaps finding resolutions or developing coping strategies.

I have worked effectively with many different individuals, presenting with wide ranging issues, and I will always allow your specific needs to inform the way we work, introducing techniques or suggestions to help you to understand and find a solution to your situation.  Together we can begin to understand why you are struggling, addressing the way past situations, relationships and events may have impacted on your life, and finding practical ways of dealing with stress to improve the way that you feel.

I believe that we all hold within us the answer to our own problems and that the therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor is a unique and powerful one, which can lead to the resolution of issues in a lasting and effective way.  The personal strength which comes from finding your own solution can remain with you and be drawn upon in the future.

As well as working with adults, I am experienced in working with children and young people, and have worked within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) as well as counselling charities.

As a member of Â鶹ԭ´´ I adhere to the ethical code and the requirement to have regular professional supervision and to continue developing professionally.

Practice description

Face to face sessions will always be my preferred way of working. However, I can offer online sessions if that works best for you, or if circumstances require it. I work with adults and children, in a neuro-affirming practice.

My first session

The first session is for you to ask any questions you may have about how I work or about the therapy process in general. You also have the opportunity to tell me about yourself, and to look at the issues you would like to explore.

The initial session should give us a good idea as to whether we would like to work together and continue with further sessions. It can take a great deal of courage to seek counselling and it is important that you feel that you have made the right choice and that I am the right person for you.

About me and my therapy practice

Whether you're looking for regular support or a one-off space to reflect, supervision with me is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in your unique context.

With years of experience working across the NHS and education system, and in therapeutic roles with both adults and children, I bring a broad, compassionate perspective to the supervisory space. I also run a successful private practice and can offer practical, grounded support if you're building or growing your own, whether you're just starting out or navigating new phases of your work.

Sessions are available online or in person.

Practice description

Supervision with me is a co-created space: empathic, affirming, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own work.

Rooted in a person-centred philosophy, I trust in your experience and capacity to grow. I bring the Seven-Eyed Model as a flexible lens through which we can explore your client work, relationships, processes, and the wider systems at play. It’s not a rigid structure, but a series of gentle invitations, prompts, and perspectives we can draw from when they serve you.

You lead the way. Together, we explore, stay curious, and create room for you to connect with what matters most: your values, your voice, and your ongoing development as a practitioner.

I recognise that supervision needs shift over time. Sometimes you may need support and guidance; at other times, gentle challenge or sharper focus. I hold space for those shifts, responding with care and flexibility as your needs and circumstances change.

Alongside this, I hold a strong ethical foundation. Supervision is not just a space for exploration. It’s a place where we stay connected to our responsibilities: to our clients, to the profession, and to ourselves. I aim to support you in feeling ethically grounded, confident, and aligned in your work.

My first session

I offer a free, 30 minute call, to discuss your supervision needs and to see if I might be the right supervisor for you.
