About me and my therapy practice

More than one thing can be true. You can love someone and want to leave. Feel grateful for your life and know that something is missing. Understand where a pattern comes from and still find yourself repeating it. Therapy is a place where you do not have to make it sound reasonable first, and where nothing needs to be resolved before it has been heard.

I am a psychosynthesis counsellor (PGDip, MÂ鶹ԭ´´), working in person in London Bridge and online across the UK. Psychosynthesis is a relational and integrative approach that considers the whole of you: thoughts, feelings, body, history, relationships, imagination and the search for meaning. Rather than treating difficult aspects of you as problems to eliminate, we can become curious about how they developed and what they may still be trying to do for you. We are more than what has hurt us, and therapy can make room not only for pain and survival but for choice, connection, humour and purpose.

Before becoming a counsellor I spent many years in film, music and live events, so I know demanding creative environments from the inside: the energy, the uncertainty, and the pressure to keep delivering when things feel less composed underneath. My own life has been shaped by migration and by belonging to more than one culture, and I understand that identity is rarely simple. Alongside my practice I work for an international charity supporting women and girls through education and mentoring.

I work with adults of all backgrounds, cultures, identities and orientations.

Practice description

People bring many things to therapy: anxiety and overthinking, life transitions, relationships, identity and belonging, living between cultures, work and creative pressure, loss and grief, and trauma, recent and long ago. You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation. Often we come because more than one thing is true at once, and it is hard to hold both.

We are all made of many layers. Where we come from, race, class, sexuality, gender, faith, disability, how much money there was, whether we moved or stayed. These layers shape what we carry and how the world meets us, and they all have a place in the room.

Sessions are weekly and last 50 minutes, in person in London Bridge, or online across the UK. I offer both short-term counselling and open-ended therapy, depending on what you need. The work can include talking, attending to the body, imagery or creative exploration. It is always led by what feels useful and appropriate for you.

Sessions are £60 to £90 on a sliding scale, because I want therapy to be accessible to people in different financial circumstances. We can discuss what feels manageable when we speak.

My first session

Before we book a first session, I offer a free 15-minute call. It is a chance to tell me a little about what brings you to therapy, to ask questions, and to get a sense of how it might feel to work together. There is no obligation to continue.

In our first sessions there is nothing to prepare and nothing you have to get right. There are no forms or assessments to complete beforehand. We talk about what brings you, what you would like to be different, and anything you want to ask me. I will also explain how I work and the practical side of things: confidentiality, session times and fees. We go at your pace.

The first session is charged at the same rate as ongoing sessions, £60 to £90 on a sliding scale, and we agree what feels manageable during the introductory call. If it turns out I am not the right fit, I will help you think about what might suit you better.
