About me and my therapy practice

I know how hard it can be to seek out help, but you’re in the right place, I am here with you. I have my own experience of being a client in counselling so I understand how scary this can seem. I want to reassure you that these feelings are valid and it’s ok to feel the way you do. Finding the right counsellor is important, as I believe the therapeutic relationship is where the healing journey begins. It was in therapy that I first felt truly heard, understood and fully accepted for who I am, and this is what I strive to emulate for my clients. Let’s move forward together.

I trained as a therapist because I felt my own life experiences could be useful when it comes to helping others. Life can be extremely challenging, I understand we are all on our own path, but sometimes we need someone to walk alongside us.  I have many years of experience working within the field of yoga and mindfulness as a yoga teacher. I truly believe moving the body opens the mind and I practice yoga as often as I can, when I am not teaching it. I have been a mentor, training new yoga teachers and watching them flourish in the field. I provide an LGBTQ+ affirmative practice, but welcome clients from all backgrounds. I hold an advanced diploma in humanistic integrative counselling having trained at CPPD counselling school in North London. I work in accordance with the Â鶹ԭ´´ ethical framework as a Â鶹ԭ´´ member.

Practice description

I create a safe and empathic space for my clients to share and explore themselves, their thoughts and feelings. I understand the need for different approaches for each client, as no one is the same. I am an integrative practitioner, which allows me the scope to provide an individual approach with specific tools and approaches that fit each client, their situation and their personality. I am trained in Psychodynamic, humanistic, integrative, Transactional analysis, Person Centred and Cognitive behaviour therapy. My aim is to provide a supportive, non-judgemental safe space for my clients, collaborating together to help them make sense of their situation. To empower my clients to reflect and understand themselves in a deeper way. From this place, real change is possible. I am not a therapist who will sit back and let you do all the work, I am in this with you, I will be your explorer buddy.

I offer a free 15 minute zoom chat to meet each other and discuss your needs. If we decide to work together we will meet at the same time every week. Sessions are 50 minutes long.

My standard rate is £85 for in person sessions and £75 for online, I also offer a number of concessionary spaces to people on a low income.

I offer sessions online via Zoom, or from my therapy rooms in South Wimbledon.

My first session

In our first session together, I will conduct an assessment and will be writing some notes. This is so I can get a better picture of your goals and gain more of an understanding of what brings you into therapy at this time.
