Counselling in Horsham and Online
I provide both short- and long-term therapy to adult individuals in Billingshurst, Horsham, Petworth, West Sussex, and online for clients in London and throughout the UK.
Making sense of feeling stuck:
Have you reached a point in life where the path that once seemed clear no longer feels quite right?
Perhaps you’ve retired, your relationship has ended, divorce, your children have left home, you’ve been made redundant, you are considering a career change, house move or something else has changed the life you once felt more certain about. Or perhaps there’s no obvious reason at all you just have a growing sense that something needs to change.
And now you’re faced with questions you don’t know how to answer:
How did I get here? What do I want now? Who am I in this next stage of my life? What happens next?
When everyone seems to expect you to have a plan, not knowing can feel unsettling, frightening or even like you’ve somehow failed.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer a calm, supportive space where you don’t have to arrive with a clear goal or plan or even a clear idea of what’s wrong. We can start exactly where you are.
I have a particular interest in working with people who feel like they are a bit of a crossroads, those moments when an old chapter has ended, is changing, or simply no longer feels right, while the next chapter isn't clear yet.
Together, we can slow things down and make space for the questions you may have been afraid to ask. You might find yourself saying something you’ve never said out loud before. Sometimes, simply having someone listen without judgement can allow you to feel like you can breath again.
Counselling can give you the space to explore what matters to you now, rather than what you think you should want or what others have told you to be. We can gently consider different possibilities, build your confidence in navigating uncertainty, and help you reconnect with your sense of direction.
Sometimes finding direction isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about becoming comfortable enough with the uncertainty to discover what might be possible.
If you’re standing at a crossroads and wondering what comes next, you’re welcome to get in touch. We can start with where you are and take it from there.
Practice description
I'll give you time to talk and I don't expect you have everything figured out or to know how to describe what you're feeling. I'll give you space to explore and talk about what is happening for you, including the things that feel more difficult, confusing or hard to put into words.
We will always go at your pace. I won't tell you what to do or expect you to come along with a clear plan. Instead we will work together to understand where you are, what matters to you and what you might need now.
My first session
Taking the first step to book a session with a counsellor can feel scary and the unknown can put us off trying.
You can use the contact form on my website or here. I’ll get back in touch with some time options for you to pick. We will start with a 20minute meeting which will be held online. I don’t charge for this 20-minute meeting. From there we can decide if we want to work together.
If we decide to go ahead with counselling sessions, I offer sessions online throughout the UK and in person from my therapy room in Horsham, West Sussex
