About me and my therapy practice

Same thoughts looping round in your head, constantly making you feel exhausted? Feeling like no one can really hear you, because everyone just thinks you're fine, yet you're screaming inside and hoping someone will notice? Finding everyday tasks hard to complete due to worry, sadness or just not knowing your direction in life? Limited by the feeling you're never good enough, that you always have to be a certain way to fit in? Navigating who you are in the world and where you fit in?

Therapy isn't  limited to those feelings, they're just some examples. Therapy offers a dedicated time and space to be with your feelings and to begin to make some sense of what's going on for you.  Working with a therapist means you're not doing this alone. Finding someone who will understand and accept you, feeling exactly as you do right now.

Maybe this profile reads a bit backwards, but the work I do is about you. You matter to me. Plenty of research suggests that finding a therapist who you feel comfortable talking to, who gets you, who enables you to feel heard and understood is the most important factor. If you think I might be the person you'd like to work with...please take a look at my website for more details, get in touch, and let's say hello.

Practice description

And now let me introduce myself. Hi, I'm Catherine. Therapist, but also fellow human doing my best to navigate life in all it's wonder and complexity.

I offer face to face sessions from my private practice space in Dersingham (Norfolk), online and on the phone across the UK. Sessions are usually weekly and 60 minutes.

I work with people 18+

I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred counselling and am a registered member of the Â鶹ԭ´´.

My first session

If you get in touch, we'll arrange a 20 minute meeting online so we can see each other and say hello. You can tell me what's making you feel you'd like to try therapy and it will give us chance to go through the client agreement information so you are clear about the terms of therapy. I will explain how I work. An introductory meeting is £15. You aren't committed to anything and can take the time you need to decide if you'd like to go ahead with therapy.

If we decide to work together, we will book a session for you which will usually be the same time each week. I do short term and long term work (and it's ok to not know what you want at the start!). I'll ask you to complete a short client information form and will send you my therapy agreement information which has all the details you'll need. If you have any questions at any point of the process, please ask.

I aim to work inclusively, working with any needs or requirements you may have in terms of accessing therapy sessions.  I also work with issues around spirituality, faith and existential questions. Please do discuss this with me if you would like to.
