About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist, offering therapy in both English and Greek. I work with adults who may be experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, trauma-related experiences or recurring patterns that feel difficult to change.

My approach is collaborative, warm and structured. I aim to create a safe and respectful therapeutic relationship where you can speak openly, understand yourself more deeply and work towards meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable.

I draw on integrative psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural approaches, attachment theory, psychodynamic thinking and clinical hypnotherapy. This means that our work can include exploring present difficulties, understanding how past experiences may influence current patterns, developing practical coping strategies and strengthening your relationship with yourself.

I do not view therapy as a quick fix or believe that one approach suits everyone. Together, we will identify what you need, agree on clear therapeutic goals and regularly review how the work is progressing.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work in accordance with its ethical framework. I receive regular clinical supervision and remain committed to ongoing professional development.

Practice description

I offer individual psychotherapy, couples therapy and clinical hypnotherapy to individuals and teams, both online and in person from my private practice in Peristeri, Athens.

Sessions provide a confidential and non-judgemental space where we can explore what is currently troubling you and develop a clearer understanding of your thoughts, emotions, relationships and patterns of behaviour. The first session is an opportunity for us to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your history, your expectations and whether my approach feels suitable for you.

My work may include talking therapy, psychoeducation, cognitive and behavioural techniques, emotional regulation skills, eft techniques, guided imagery, relaxation and clinical hypnosis. Hypnotherapy is only used where appropriate, with your informed agreement, and as part of a wider therapeutic plan rather than as a stand-alone quick solution.

I have particular experience in working with anxiety, panic, stress, psychosomatic symptoms, self-criticism, low confidence, difficult relationships, attachment-related patterns and the emotional impact of painful past experiences.

Sessions are usually held weekly. Psychotherapy sessions last 50 minutes, while clinical hypnotherapy sessions last 60 minutes. Online sessions are available internationally, subject to professional and legal considerations, and in-person sessions are available in Athens.

You are welcome to contact me briefly before booking so that we can consider whether I am the right therapist for your needs.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, discuss what has brought you to therapy and consider what you would like to change or understand more clearly.

I will invite you to share some information about your current difficulties, relevant personal history, relationships, health and previous experience of therapy. You are always free to decide how much you feel comfortable sharing.

We will also talk about how I work, confidentiality, session frequency, fees and the practical boundaries of therapy. Together, we can begin to identify your needs and agree on an initial direction for our work.

I may ask you to complete a brief assessment form before or after the session where this would be clinically helpful. This is used to support our understanding of your experience and does not replace our therapeutic conversation.

Clinical hypnosis is not usually introduced in the first session. Where hypnotherapy may be appropriate, I will first explain the process, answer any questions and ensure that it forms part of an agreed therapeutic plan.

The first session is also a chance for you to consider whether you feel comfortable with me and whether my approach feels right for you. There is no obligation to continue if you decide that another therapist or form of support would suit you better.
