About me and my therapy practice

I’m a warm, thoughtful and genuine therapist, working with individual adults in person in Brighton and Hove and online.

I see therapy as something we build together, with the relationship between us at the heart of the work. I aim to offer a space where you can feel accepted as you are, while also gently supporting you to consider different perspectives when that may be helpful.

You may be coming to therapy because something feels difficult or overwhelming, because you are noticing patterns you would like to understand, or because something in your life needs to change, even if you cannot yet put it into words. We can take time to explore what is happening for you and what you would like to be different, without rushing towards a particular answer.

My way of working is flexible and shaped around you. We might pay attention to emotions, relationships, recurring patterns and how your experiences are felt in your body. Where it feels useful, we can explore how earlier relationships and experiences may connect with what is happening in your life now. I can also offer more creative ways of working, although there is never any pressure to use them.

I will not position myself as the expert on your life. I bring curiosity, care and professional knowledge, while recognising that you know your own experiences in a way nobody else can. Together, we can begin to make sense of what you are carrying and create space for something different to emerge.

I offer an affirming and inclusive space, including for LGBTQ+, neurodivergent and disabled identities and experiences.

Practice description

I work with individual adults aged 18 and over, offering therapy in person in Brighton & Hove and online across the UK.

I offer in-person sessions from a number of private therapy rooms across Brighton & Hove.

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place at the same time each week. I offer both shorter- and longer-term therapy, depending on what feels right for you. We can talk about this together and review it as the work develops.

My fee is £65 for a 50-minute session. I also keep a limited number of lower-cost spaces, depending on availability.

I offer appointments from Tuesday to Friday, including some early morning and evening sessions. Please contact me to ask about current availability.

My first session

Before beginning, I offer a free 20-minute introductory call. This is a chance for you to tell me a little about what is bringing you to therapy, ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right.

Our first full session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at my usual rate. I’ll ask some brief questions at the start to help me understand your background, and we’ll begin exploring what you would like from therapy. There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin.
