About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life looks fine on the outside, but something doesn’t feel quite right.
You may be carrying stress, navigating a difficult relationship, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, or sensing that something needs attention, even if you can’t quite put it into words.
My practice is about creating a space where the masks can come off. A place where you can explore who you really are beneath the roles you’ve had to play, make sense of the experiences that have shaped you, and discover new ways of living that feel more honest and authentic.
I work relationally and integratively, with an approach shaped around your needs rather than a fixed model of therapy. Together we’ll explore what’s happening in your life now, as well as the experiences and relationships that may continue to influence how you see yourself and relate to others.
Change isn’t always comfortable, but growth rarely happens inside the comfort zone. Therapy can be the place where that change begins. If you’re ready to take that first step, please reach out.
Practice description
I offer one-to-one counselling for adults in Ashtead (Surrey) and online.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some are facing a particular challenge such as anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties or burnout. Others simply recognise that life no longer feels the way they want it to, even if they can’t fully explain why.
My approach is collaborative rather than prescriptive. We’ll work together to understand your experiences, recognise recurring patterns, and help you develop greater awareness, choice and self-acceptance.
Whether you’re looking to work through something that’s happening in your life now or explore deeper aspects of yourself, therapy offers the opportunity to slow down, reflect and make meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
If you choose to meet in person, sessions take place in a dedicated private therapy room with its own entrance, allowing you to arrive and leave discreetly without passing through a shared space. Private off-road parking is available.
My first session
I offer a free 10-minute introductory telephone or online call before arranging a first session.
This gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what has brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to get from it, and whether I’m the right person to support you. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions before deciding whether you’d like to work with me.
The first session, like all ongoing sessions, lasts 50 minutes.
We’ll explore what has brought you to therapy, any relevant background, and what you’d like to gain from our work together. There's no expectation to tell me everything at once. We’ll work at a pace that feels right for you.
