About me and my therapy practice

Choosing to begin therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re feeling overwhelmed or as though nobody truly understands what you’re going through. I became a counsellor because I wanted to offer people a space where they feel heard, understood and accepted, whatever they may be facing. I understand that opening up can feel daunting, so I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to be yourself, without pressure or fear of judgement.

I am passionate about supporting people to explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences, helping them develop a deeper understanding of themselves and move towards improved emotional wellbeing. I believe that, given the right environment, we all have the capacity for healing, growth and positive change. Together, we might explore difficult emotions, identify patterns, and develop greater self-awareness and self-compassion.

Practice description

My approach is warm, down-to-earth and non-judgemental. I aim to create a calm and supportive space where you can talk openly at your own pace. I take a person-centred approach, meaning our sessions are guided by what feels most important to you. My role is not to tell you what to do or how to feel, but to work alongside you, supporting you as you make sense of your experiences and discover your own path forward. We will explore whatever feels important to you, recognising that you are the expert on your own life.

I work primarily online at the moment, allowing you to attend sessions from the comfort and privacy of your own space. I have experience supporting clients with a range of concerns, including anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement, chronic health conditions, neurodiversity, relationships, and caring responsibilities.

I believe that feeling truly heard can be the beginning of meaningful change. Whatever has brought you to therapy, I offer a free informal 15 minute introductory call where we can talk about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether working together feels right.
