About me and my therapy practice

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, and finding someone you feel comfortable and safe with is an important part of the process. My aim is to offer a warm, welcoming and compassionate space, and at the heart of my work is a strong foundation in Person Centred therapy, which means that my role is to support you, at your own pace, where you can feel truly heard and understood, respected and valued without judgement. During your sessions we will be able to talk through your concerns confidentially, building a trusting therapeutic relationship, where you can find acceptance, empathy, and authenticity between us.

Practice description

I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the Â鶹ԭ´´. I also have a level 4 qualification in trauma informed practise, with a particular interest in supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse, and other traumatic experiences. My approach recognises the lasting impact that trauma can have on emotional wellbeing, relationships, daily life and yourself. I work sensitively and collaboratively, prioritising safety and choice to help clients regain a sense of safety, empowerment and autonomy within themselves.

My approach and practise brings together different modalities and theories so that I am able to work flexibly in a way that feels right for you. In this way, we can build a therapeutic relationship that meets your unique needs and experiences. Your best interests are at the heart of my practise.

Alongside my counselling practise, I also tutor at Canterbury Counselling Training, teaching counselling skills and theories across levels year 2-4. I support trainee counsellors throughout their placements, helping them to develop their professional identity, confidence and ethical practise.
