About me and my therapy practice
Starting therapy can feel daunting. My aim is to make the process feel welcoming, steady, and human from the very beginning.
Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, low, or disconnected from yourself, or navigating trauma, relationship difficulties, bereavement, or a life transition.
I offer a warm, supportive, and confidential space where you can talk openly without fear of judgement. I work at your pace, with curiosity, compassion, and respect.
My approach is grounded in Gestalt therapy, which helps you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and patterns of relating in the present moment, supporting greater understanding and change.
I work relationally and collaboratively, paying close attention to what is happening between us in the here and now. I also draw on creative methods alongside talking therapy where helpful.
I have extensive experience working with adults with learning disabilities and trauma, and I adapt my way of working to different communication styles and needs, ensuring therapy is accessible and responsive.
If this resonates with you, I’d be glad to meet and see whether we’re a good fit.
Practice description
I am an Advanced Trainee Gestalt Psychotherapist and a Registered Member of the Â鶹Դ´ (MÂ鶹Դ´), working towards UKCP Registration.
Alongside my psychotherapy training, I bring over 10 years’ experience in the NHS supporting adults with learning disabilities, and over five years’ experience in private practice.
I work with adults in private practice experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, and life transitions.
I also specialise in working with adults with learning disabilities, and have extensive experience adapting therapy to meet individual needs, ensuring sessions are accessible, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s way of communicating and experiencing the world.
My work also includes supporting family members and carers, offering a space where these experiences can be understood and respected.
My first session
The first session is a chance for us to meet and see how it feels to talk together. You can begin to share what’s brought you to therapy at your own pace, and we can think together about whether working together feels right for you. You’re also welcome to ask any questions.
