About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Ortensia. I am a Â鶹Դ´-qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and I am currently completing the final stage of my MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy.
I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space for adults (18+) and couples to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I see therapy as a collaborative process, where feeling safe, heard, and understood can support meaningful change.
My approach encourages reflection on relational dynamics, learned behaviours, and unconscious patterns that may have developed through early experiences and later life.
I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and life transitions. I also support neurodivergent clients, including people with ADHD, and provide a neurodivergent-affirming and LGBTQ+ inclusive therapeutic space.
My Qualifications:
MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (in progress)
MA in Human Resources Management, University of East London
Bachelor’s Degree in Law, University of Roma Tre
Professional Â鶹Դ´s
I am registered with the following professional bodies and adhere to their codes of ethics:
Â鶹Դ´ (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)
UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) – Trainee Member
Practice description
My practice is informed by Transactional Analysis psychotherapy training at the Metanoia Institute. I work collaboratively with clients to explore emotional difficulties, relational patterns, and ways of coping that may be affecting their wellbeing and relationships.
My first session
Before arranging a first session, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call. This is an opportunity for us to briefly connect, for you to ask any initial questions, and for me to get a sense of what you are looking for. It also allows us to consider whether working together may feel like a good fit.
Our first meeting will then be an initial 50-minute consultation, where we can begin to explore what brings you to therapy and whether psychotherapy may be helpful for you. This session can take place in person or online.
This first session is also an opportunity to begin getting to know each other and to see whether I am the right therapist for you. We will explore what has led you to seek therapy, and begin to discuss areas such as confidentiality, contracting, and your goals and expectations for the work.
You will have space to share a little about yourself and the difficulties you may be experiencing, and to get a sense of how I work and whether you feel comfortable continuing. You are welcome to ask any questions about the type of therapy I offer, and there is no obligation to continue after the first session if you decide it is not the right fit for you.
