About me and my therapy practice

I'm a London based Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a focus on supporting individuals in senior, high-responsibility, high pressure, and leadership roles.

I bring to my practice a deep understanding of high-stress environments, shaped by my own background in the Armed Forces and my work within corporate settings, including financial services and information technology.

This combination of professional training and lived experience enables me to support clients with issues such as stress, anxiety, identity, performance, and leadership strain.

My counselling approach draws on psychodynamic and humanistic theory to help my clients explore emotional patterns, personal challenges, and relational dynamics in a safe and confidential space.

I primarily offer one-to-one, online counselling via secure video. We can arrange face-to-face sessions at your home or workplace, by prior agreement.

Practice description

A Fellow of The Royal Society For Public Health, I serve on the NHS Mental Health Expert Advisory Group & the Clinical Reference Group for specialist Armed Forces mental health services.

I'm a member of The King’s College Mental Health Research Advisory Group and the Royal College of Psychiatrists Quality Network for Veterans’ Mental Health Services.

Outside of private practice, I still support the Armed Forces as an Honorary Counselling Psychologist with NHS OpCourage (the specialist mental health service for veterans).

My first session

Therapy is a process that benefits from consistency.  While everyone’s needs are different, I generally ask clients to plan for at least 12 sessions to give us enough time to build trust and understand what’s really going on.  You can, of course, end therapy whenever you wish.

I provide a confidential, client-centred space where we can explore what’s going on beneath the surface, helping you navigate both immediate concerns and the deeper emotional patterns that may be shaping them.

My style is curious, open to possibility, exploratory, and non-judgmental.  My role as a psychotherapist is one I take very seriously, and I am committed to every person I work with, whose willingness to enter into and continue therapy I hold in high regard and respect.
