About me and my therapy practice

Do you feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or disconnected from yourself? Perhaps you're navigating a difficult life transition, relationship challenges, grief, stress, burnout, or the effects of past trauma?

I'm Turiya, a Â鶹ԭ´´-registered Integrative Counsellor offering a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can speak freely and be met with genuine care and curiosity. I work at a pace that feels right for you, recognising that each person's journey is unique.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, abuse, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, significant life changes, spiritual and existential questions, women's wellbeing and personal growth. Together, we can explore the patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing, helping you move towards greater clarity, resilience, and self-connection.

My approach combines Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transpersonal counselling, alongside an awareness of the nervous system and the connection between mind and body. Sessions are tailored to your individual needs, and we work collaboratively at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

Practice description

I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can speak openly about what is happening in your life. My work is collaborative and responsive, and we will move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

My integrative counselling approach brings together relational understanding, present-moment awareness, and sensitivity to the emotional and physical impact of life experiences. I believe that meaningful change often begins when we feel truly heard and supported.

Where helpful, we may explore patterns in relationships, emotional responses, or behaviours, and develop greater awareness of thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations. This can support emotional regulation, resilience, and a stronger sense of connection to yourself.

I work in a trauma-informed way and am mindful of the importance of safety, stability, and trust within the therapeutic process. I do not rely on a fixed set of techniques; instead, I aim to offer a consistent and integrated experience of therapy that is tailored to your individual needs.

I am committed to working within the Â鶹ԭ´´ Ethical Framework and maintain regular clinical supervision to support safe, ethical, and reflective practice.

My first session

You are welcome to get in touch to ask questions or to arrange a free-of-charge 20-minute introductory call. This is an opportunity for us to meet, begin to get to know one another, and briefly explore what has brought you to therapy. You may wish to share something specific that is troubling you, or simply talk about how things have been feeling recently.

I will ask some gentle questions to understand your situation, your hopes for therapy, and any relevant background information. We will also talk about practical matters such as confidentiality, boundaries, and how sessions work, so that you feel informed and comfortable.

This first introductory call is about you getting a sense of whether you feel comfortable working with me and whether we will be a good fit together.

if you'd like to then go ahead, I'll send over a Therapy Agreement document which you can either fill in ahead of our first session together - or we can do it together during that first session.

Beginning therapy can feel like a tender step, and I aim to make that first contact as gentle and supportive as possible.
