Availability
I currently have availability for new clients. My working hours are flexible and I aim to offer appointments that can fit around work, study or other commitments where possible.
Sessions are available during the week, with some evening appointments available. Please feel free to get in touch to ask about current availability and we can discuss a time that may work for you.
If I am unavailable at any point, I will aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible and let you know when the next appointments are available. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24–48 hours.
About me and my therapy practice
You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or struggling with difficult emotions or relationships. At times life can feel confusing or heavy, and reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. I offer a warm, supportive and confidential space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard without judgement.
My approach to therapy is integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches including person-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This allows us to work in a way that is tailored to your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
Building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I believe that feeling understood and accepted creates the foundation for meaningful change. Together we can explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
People come to therapy for many different reasons, including anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, loss, or feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges. Our work together may involve exploring how past experiences or patterns are affecting the present, while also developing practical ways to manage current difficulties and support your wellbeing.
Therapy can provide space to gain insight, increase self-awareness and find new ways of coping. My aim is to support you in understanding yourself more deeply and moving forward in a way that feels right for you.
If you feel that therapy may be helpful, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation where we can talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping for from therapy.
I understand that contacting a therapist for the first time can feel daunting. You are welcome to ask questions, and there is no pressure or obligation to continue if you feel it is not the right fit.
Practice description
I offer integrative counselling in a safe, confidential and supportive environment for adults and young people aged 16 and over. I work with clients experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship challenges, low self-esteem and life transitions.
My approach combines person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), allowing therapy to be tailored to each individual’s needs and experiences.
Sessions provide a space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together we can work towards greater self-understanding, emotional wellbeing and positive change.
I offer sessions in person and/or online. If you are considering therapy, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and begin to explore what has brought you to therapy. I understand that starting therapy can feel unfamiliar or sometimes a little daunting, so the first session is designed to be a gentle and supportive introduction to the process.
During this session, you will have space to talk about what is currently going on in your life and what you hope to gain from therapy. I may ask some questions to better understand your experiences, background and what support might be most helpful for you.
This session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about therapy or how I work. We can discuss practical aspects such as how sessions are structured and what you might want from our work together.
There is no pressure or obligation to continue after the first session. It is important that you feel comfortable and that the therapeutic relationship feels like the right fit for you.
If we both feel that working together would be helpful, we can then agree on how to move forward with ongoing sessions.
