About me and my therapy practice

I offer thoughtful, relational therapy for couples and individuals in North London and online.

You may be looking for therapy because something has become difficult to understand alone. Perhaps you and your partner keep having the same argument, or you have stopped arguing and feel quietly far apart. Or you may be coming on your own, wanting to understand anxiety, self criticism, identity, family history, men’s issues, racialised stress, or patterns that keep returning.

My work is relational and psychodynamic. I am interested in how past and present experiences shape the way we relate to ourselves, to other people, and to the world around us. Therapy can offer a space to slow things down, speak more freely, and begin to understand what may be happening beneath the surface.

As a mixed Black male therapist, I bring personal and clinical sensitivity to race, culture, gender, identity, belonging and difference. These experiences are not separate from therapy. They can live in our relationships, our sense of self, and in what feels possible to say.

I trained at Tavistock Relationships. My qualification was awarded through Birkbeck, University of London. I now work at Tavistock Relationships as a visiting clinician and trainer. I also bring previous non-clinical experience from Mind and the Anna Freud Centre, including work in trauma informed services, race equity and wider mental health.

Practice description

Much of my work is about relating. The ways we reach for each other, protect ourselves, lose trust, stay silent, argue, adapt, or feel unseen.

With couples, I do not take sides. I pay close attention to what happens between you, especially in the moments where things become painful, defended, or difficult to say. Couples often come when the relationship still matters, but the pattern has become difficult to shift alone. There may be repeated arguments, emotional distance, loss of trust, difficulties with sex or intimacy, parenting pressures, family tensions, or a sense that you keep missing each other.

With individuals, I offer a space to think about what has shaped you and how you relate to yourself and others. You may be coping on the outside while struggling inside. You may notice that certain feelings or relationship patterns keep returning, even when you have tried hard to do things differently.

In both couples and individual work, therapy can help us understand the patterns you have become caught in, and what might be needed for honesty, repair, self understanding and change.

My first session

The first session is exploratory. It gives us an opportunity to understand what has brought you to therapy, what you may be hoping for, and whether working together feels like the right fit before moving forward.

For couples, we will begin to think about what has been happening between you, the pattern you may feel caught in, and whether couples therapy feels appropriate and useful at this time.

For individuals, we can begin with what feels most present. You do not need to arrive with everything clearly worked out. The first session is a chance to speak, ask questions, and get a feel for how I work.

About me and my therapy practice

Individual Therapist in North London and Online

I offer thoughtful, specialist couples therapy in North London and online.

You may be looking for therapy because something in your relationship has become hard to reach. Perhaps you keep having the same argument, or you have stopped arguing and feel quietly far apart. You may still care deeply about each other, but feel unsure how to find your way back.

I trained at Tavistock Relationships, the specialist couples therapy institute, where I now work as a visiting clinician and trainer. My work is relational and psychodynamic, with a focus on the patterns that form between people and the feelings that can be difficult to name.

As a mixed-Black male therapist, I bring personal and clinical sensitivity to race, gender, identity, belonging and difference. I am especially interested in how these experiences live in relationships, including difference, family expectations, silence, shame, protection and feeling misunderstood.

Practice description

Couples often come to therapy when the relationship still matters, but the pattern has become hard to shift alone. There may be distance, loss of trust, difficulty talking, problems with sex or intimacy, parenting pressures, family tensions, or a painful sense that you keep missing each other.

My work is not about taking sides. I try to pay close attention to what happens between you, especially in the moments that feel painful, defended, or hard to say. I aim to create a space where both partners can feel taken seriously, rather than judged or blamed.

Much of this work is about how we relate. How we reach for each other, protect ourselves, lose trust, stay silent, argue, adapt, or feel unseen. A relationship is something both people create together, shaped by what each of you brings from history, culture, race, gender, family, and the wider lives you have lived.

Together, we can begin to understand the pattern you are caught in and what may be needed for honesty, repair, and connection.

My first session

The first session is exploratory. It gives us an opportunity to understand what has brought you to therapy, what has been happening between you, and whether working together feels like the right fit before moving forward.

I use the first session to begin getting a sense of the relationship, the pattern you may feel caught in, and whether couples therapy feels appropriate and useful at this time. It is also a chance for both partners to ask questions and get a feel for how I work.

I charge £80 for the first couples session.

Individual Therapist in North London and Online

I offer thoughtful, relational therapy for individuals in North London and online.

You may be coming to therapy because something has become difficult to understand alone. Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety, low mood, self criticism, identity, family history, racialised stress, masculinity, or relationship patterns that keep repeating.

My work is relational and psychodynamic. This means I am interested in how past and present experiences shape the way you relate to yourself, to other people, and to the world around you. Therapy can offer a space to notice patterns that may have become familiar, but no longer feel helpful.

I trained at Tavistock Relationships and my qualification was awarded through Birkbeck, University of London. My training helped me think deeply about emotional life, relationships, unconscious patterns, and the links between what has happened before and what may be happening now.

As a mixed Black male therapist, I bring personal and clinical sensitivity to the ways race, culture, gender, belonging and family history shape emotional life. These experiences are not separate from therapy. They can live in our relationships, our sense of self, and in what feels possible to say.

Practice description

Much of my work is about relating. How we relate to others, to ourselves, and to the histories we carry. Our emotional lives are often shaped through relationships with partners, parents, families, communities, culture, race, gender and work.

You might be coping on the outside while struggling inside. You may be used to being capable, thoughtful and reliable, but find it harder to speak about what you need. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, speak more freely and begin to understand what has shaped you.

I work with people who want to understand themselves more deeply, not only manage symptoms. This might include exploring why certain relationship patterns repeat, why closeness can feel difficult, why self criticism feels so familiar, or why parts of yourself have had to be protected or hidden.

My work is relational and psychodynamic. I pay attention to what is happening now, what has been carried from earlier relationships, and what may be emerging between us in the therapy itself.

My first session

The first session is an exploratory session. It gives us a chance to speak about what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and whether working together feels like the right fit.

You do not need to arrive with everything clearly worked out. We can begin with what feels most present, and take time to think together about what may be useful to focus on.

I charge £50 for the first individual session.
