About me and my therapy practice
"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?鈥 鈥 Mary Oliver
You may not have a clear answer to that question right now.
Perhaps anxiety, depression, or overthinking are clouding your sense of direction?
Maybe you feel stuck in familiar patterns, disconnected in relationships, or unsure how to access more ease and authenticity in your life?
Sometimes people come to therapy because something hurts.
Sometimes they come because something feels missing.
Often, it鈥檚 both.
I鈥檓 Wendy, a qualified humanistic psychotherapist. I offer a warm, relational space where you can slow down, speak freely, and feel genuinely met. Together, we can explore what feels difficult, blocked, or overwhelming.
My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that each person is inherently worthy and capable of growth. Drawing on relational and somatic (body-based) approaches, I pay attention not only to your thoughts, but also to your emotional and bodily experience. Our relationships, past and present, shape how we see ourselves. In therapy, we can gently untangle these patterns, deepening self-understanding and creating the possibility for change.
You don鈥檛 need to arrive with a plan.
We can begin exactly where you are.
Practice description
I trained as a Humanistic Psychotherapist at HOMA, completing 744 hours of face-to-face training. My training emphasised compassionate, relational therapy alongside a strong commitment to social justice. This means that I am attentive to how power, difference and social inequalities can show up in the therapy room between us, and how these dynamics might be experienced or shape our work together.
Prior to private practice, I worked as a psychotherapist at The Swan Project for people with addictions and as a counsellor at Willows Counselling Service.
I value being a visible and accountable therapist. As well as attending regular supervision and ongoing personal and professional development.
I am committed to creating an environment that supports inclusivity and respect of all people regardless of race, colour, culture, religion, spiritual practice, sex, age, body size, gender identity or gender expression.
My first session
If something here has resonated and you鈥檙e thinking about getting in touch, I offer a free 20-minute introductory call. It will be a chance to begin a conversation, talk a little about what鈥檚 brought you here, ask any questions, and see what emerges - including whether working together feels like a good fit.
