About me and my therapy practice

I offer a calm, confidential space where you can begin to understand yourself more deeply and make sense of what you’re going through.

I work with people who may be experiencing low mood, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, grief or health-related challenges, especially when these begin to impact both the mind and the body.

You might be feeling:

• Overwhelmed by your thoughts or emotions

• Stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand

• Anxious in situations that feel difficult to control

• Physically impacted by stress, tension or ongoing pain

• Disconnected from yourself or your body

Often, these experiences are your mind and body trying to protect you, even if it doesn’t feel helpful right now.

I have a particular interest in the connection between emotional wellbeing and physical symptoms, including how the nervous system responds to stress, anxiety and pain. Together, we can begin to understand these patterns and gently explore new ways of responding.

My approach is humanistic and relational, meaning I offer a non-judgemental, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood.

Alongside talking therapy, I may incorporate somatic awareness, breathwork and creative approaches where appropriate, helping you connect with both your thoughts and your body.

I also have clinical experience supporting individuals through grief and bereavement, offering a space to process loss in a way that feels personal and meaningful to you.

You might be considering counselling if:

• You feel ready to understand yourself on a deeper level

• You are struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm or physical symptoms linked to stress

• You are navigating grief or loss

• You are tired of coping in ways that no longer feel helpful

• You would like a space that is just for you

Over time, counselling can help you feel more grounded, more in control of your emotions and more connected to both your mind and body.

Practice description

I work under my private practice, Reynolds Counselling and Wellness, which was created to offer a calm, thoughtful and compassionate space for therapy and wellbeing.

My counselling work takes place in Chichester town centre in a modern building designed to feel safe, welcoming and comfortable. The space is newly built and thoughtfully designed, with light, quiet rooms that are clean, warm and peaceful. Each room offers a private and confidential environment where you can take time for yourself, away from the busyness of everyday life. Many clients describe the space as grounding, somewhere they can begin to settle and feel at ease.

Sessions are 50-minutes in length. Whether you are new to therapy or returning after time away, my aim is for the space to feel supportive, respectful and held with care.

You are warmly invited to explore my website to learn more about my approach, values and the wider work offered through Reynolds Counselling and Wellness: https://www.reynoldscounselling.co.uk/

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute discovery call to give you the opportunity to decide whether working with me feels right for you. This call is non-obligatory and can be arranged by getting in touch directly or via my website. The discovery call is a required first step before beginning counselling with me.

During the discovery call, we can briefly explore what has brought you to counselling, what you hope to gain from therapy and how I work as a counsellor. You are welcome to ask any questions you may have.

If you decide to proceed, your first counselling session will provide space to explore your experiences in more depth and to begin building a therapeutic relationship at a pace that feels comfortable for you. During this session, we will also go through the counselling contract and working agreement together, ensuring clarity around boundaries, confidentiality and how we will work together.

An assessment is also completed collaboratively within the first session to support a safe and ethical start to counselling. This allows me to understand your needs, ensure that counselling is appropriate and discuss any recommendations or next steps where necessary.
