About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 an integrative psychotherapist offering a calm, reflective space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and difficulties in relationships.

My approach is relational and integrative, meaning I draw on different therapeutic models and tailor the work to each individual. I am particularly interested in how early experiences and attachment patterns can influence how we relate to ourselves and others. Together, we explore how your past may be shaping your present, and how new ways of relating to yourself can begin to develop.

Practice description

I offer one-to-one counselling sessions for adults in a private and confidential setting. Sessions are typically 60 minutes and usually take place weekly. We can discuss what frequency and approach feels appropriate during our initial consultation. I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy depending on your needs and goals.

My approach is collaborative and relational. I value your autonomy while also bringing therapeutic structure to the work, which may include reflecting on patterns, emotional responses, and relational dynamics as they emerge in sessions.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you are used to prioritising others or feeling uncertain about your own needs. There is no expectation to share everything at once; we work at a pace that allows for reflection, safety, and consistency within the therapeutic process.

Confidentiality is an important part of my practice and will be discussed at the beginning of our work, including its ethical limits in line with professional guidance.

My first session

Your first session is a 60-minute appointment where we begin to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you would like support with. You do not need to have the 鈥渞ight words,鈥 and you do not need to be in crisis to start therapy. The first session is an opportunity to begin understanding your experiences within a reflective and structured space.

There is no formal assessment to complete beforehand. Instead, we use the session to begin getting a sense of your current difficulties, relevant background, and what you hope therapy might offer.

Therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, respect, and clear boundaries. While you decide what you share, sessions also provide a structured space to explore patterns, emotions, and experiences at a steady and manageable pace.

My aim is for the first session to feel calm and grounded, while also giving you a clear sense of how I work and whether this feels like the right therapeutic fit for you.
