About me and my therapy practice
With a background in Psychology studied in Perth, Australia and a Diploma in Integrative Counselling completed in London, sessions are approached in a relational way.
I am a specialist in supporting corporate clients navigating stress, burnout & high-pressure environments, grief & loss plus mid-life challenges including perimenopause.
The focus is on creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood and supported, so you can explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you.
Practice description
I believe meaningful support begins with real conversations. Life can be complex, overwhelming, and at times deeply painful and you don’t have to navigate it alone. My role is to provide a safe, respectful and thoughtful space where you feel heard, understood and supported at your own pace.
Originally from Australia, I have been living in the UK for 15 years and am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´). I bring many years of experience from high-pressure corporate environments into my practice, which gives me a grounded understanding of leadership demands, work-related stress, burnout, work/life balance challenges and the uncertainty that can come with career transitions. I understand how easy it can be to carry responsibility while quietly struggling underneath.
Many people seek counselling not only during times of crisis, but also when navigating the natural challenges and transitions of life. Building on my work within a bereavement service and a woman’s charity, I also support clients experiencing grief and loss including the death of a loved one, anticipatory grief, relationship endings, identity shifts and other significant changes like perimenopause alongside the more everyday struggles that can feel difficult to manage alone.
Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it’s important that you feel comfortable with the person you’re working with. I offer a free, no-obligation call so you can get a sense of how I work and decide whether it feels like the right fit.
My first session
Initially, I offer a free 20-minute phone call to explore whether we might be a good fit to work together and this can be booked directly on www.miracounselling.com.
If we decide to proceed, our first full session will include a brief review of the therapeutic contract which is sent to you on booking your session.
After this, the session will continue at your pace, guided by what feels most important for you to explore.
