I offer both open-ended and time-limited therapy, either in person at my consulting rooms in Hertford, Letchworth and London, or online. I work weekdays, with daytime and evening appointments available, and limited availability on Saturday mornings. About me and my therapy practice
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or caught in patterns that seem difficult to understand or change. Sometimes there is a clear difficulty you would like to work through; at other times there may simply be a sense that something in your life does not feel quite right.
I am a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist. I offer a reflective and confidential space where together we can explore your thoughts, feelings and relationships at your own pace. Psychodynamic therapy helps us understand how past experiences may influence the way we experience ourselves and others today.
My approach is relational and collaborative. You will not be left alone in silence; I engage actively in the process and we think together about what emerges in the room so that you feel heard and understood.
Alongside my counselling practice, I have over 15 years’ experience in managerial roles within education, which has given me insight into the pressures of demanding professional environments, including stress, burnout and the challenge of maintaining a healthy work–life balance.
I work with adults from diverse backgrounds and offer therapy in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
Practice description
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place once a week, although in some situations we may agree to meet up to twice weekly. Meeting regularly provides a stable space for reflection, and meaningful change often develops through a sustained commitment to the therapeutic process.My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you might be hoping for from the process. It also allows you to get a sense of how I work and whether working together feels right for you.
In our work together, you can expect an attentive and thoughtful environment where you are free to speak openly about whatever feels important to you. I listen carefully and with curiosity so that together we can begin to make sense of what may be troubling you. My approach is engaged and reflective. Rather than offering quick solutions or advice, I support you in developing a deeper understanding of your feelings and experiences. Over time, therapy can help you notice patterns in your life and relationships and navigate difficulties with greater awareness and clarity.
