About me and my therapy practice

How we work together matters. Feeling able to be honest and fully yourself is an important part of the process.

I work as an integrative therapeutic counsellor, drawing from different approaches and adapting the work around you rather than following a fixed model. I aim to offer a space that feels steady, respectful and thoughtfully supportive; somewhere you do not have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or hold everything together.

We begin with what has brought you to counselling and what you hope might feel different. You may be feeling caught in anxiety, dread, overthinking, checking, avoidance, or old patterns that keep repeating. Sessions may involve exploring current challenges, reflecting on past experiences or relational patterns, and developing a clearer understanding of how these continue to shape your life in the present.

I work at a pace that feels manageable for you. Some clients come wanting space to think and feel more deeply; others are looking for support navigating a specific situation, feeling, relationship or life transition. Often, it is a mixture of both.

Alongside therapeutic exploration, I can bring a gentle coaching perspective where appropriate, supporting reflection, clarifying goals and considering practical next steps. This is always collaborative and guided by your needs, boundaries and circumstances.

Practice description

People come to counselling for different reasons. You might be facing a specific difficulty, feeling unsure about what has changed, or wanting space to think about patterns that keep repeating.

I offer a calm, confidential and thoughtfully held space where you can speak openly and be met with steadiness and respect. Sessions are available in person in Tunbridge Wells and online across the UK.

Our first session gives us time to explore what has brought you to counselling, what you hope might feel different, and whether working together feels right. There is no pressure to commit beyond what feels appropriate for you.

I work with adults and young people experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, work-related stress, performance pressure and the emotional impact of long-term health conditions. You do not need to arrive with everything clearly formed; part of the work can be making sense of what feels unclear.

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly, offering consistency and continuity. I practise within clear professional boundaries, maintain regular clinical supervision, and work in line with the Â鶹ԭ´´ Ethical Framework.

My first session

The first session is a chance for us to meet, gently begin exploring what has brought you to counselling, and think together about what you may be hoping for from the process.

We can talk about what you would like to be different and what has led you to seek support now. I will also ask some practical questions to help me understand your circumstances and how best to support you.

We will discuss confidentiality, professional boundaries, how sessions are structured, and there will be space for you to ask any questions about me, my approach, or how I work.

The first session gives you a chance to experience how it feels to work together and decide whether you would like to continue with me. There is no obligation to commit beyond this point.
