Practice description
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a significant step. You may be feeling overwhelmed, low, anxious, uncertain about a relationship, questioning aspects of your identity, or simply aware that something in your life does not feel as it once did. Whatever brings you here, I offer a calm, confidential and supportive space where you can begin to explore things at your own pace.
I am an integrative counsellor based in Holywell, North Wales, working with adults across a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My professional experience includes providing counselling within NHS Occupational Health to NHS staff, alongside work within charitable organisations. I have supported individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, grief, self-harm, stress, relationship difficulties, and challenges relating to food and body image.
My approach is client-directed and integrative, drawing on established person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural models. This allows our work together to be shaped around your individual needs, experiences and goals. We may explore how past experiences influence the present, identify patterns in thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and build deeper self-awareness. Where appropriate, I incorporate practical coping strategies to support you between sessions, while also creating space for meaningful reflection and lasting change.
I place strong value on the therapeutic relationship and the importance of feeling safe, respected and heard. I understand that beginning therapy can require courage, particularly when speaking about experiences that feel painful, confusing or overwhelming. You will be met with professionalism, care and a non-judgemental approach.
