About me and my therapy practice
There must be a place in life where anything can be said and explored with support.
You may be experiencing a disconnect between who you are inside and who you are in the outer world. Or you may find it hard to connect with a sense of who you truly are.
You may be struggling to understand why you act in ways that are not in your best interest, such as substance abuse or addictions.
Therapy is a confidential space to express and explore yourself free from judgement or advice. The accumulated result of a regular space to speak honestly about your thoughts, feelings, patterns, needs, and dreams often leads to increased clarity, self-confidence, better relationships, and the freedom to live your life in a way that feels authentic to you. It is an investment in positive change.
I have a particular understanding of the challenges of working in the creative industries, and the psychological impact of immigration.
Short Term
I offer six to twelve sessions if you would like to work with a specific issue, or the financial commitment of long term therapy is not right for you at this time.
Long Term
This is open-ended therapy. Sessions may sometimes centre on a particular theme, but the conversation can move naturally between subjects depending on what you wish to bring on the day. Throughout the process, we will keep communicating about how therapy is supporting your progress and review together if you feel ready to pause or bring the work to an end.
Practice description
It is my job to understand you and how you experience the world. I am trained in multiple modalities which I combine in order to tailor the therapy to you as an individual.
The content and pace are led by you. I will be curious, reflective, and at times gently challenging. I want our work together to feel adequately safe, however safety is defined for you.
I completed my MA and diploma training at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE), a school accredited by the UK Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP) and the University of Northampton. I received my introductory certificate from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.
I have additional training in trauma-informed somatic work, and a particular interest in Internal Family Systems, a type of therapy that helps you make sense of your inner world by viewing it as a collection of different 'parts.'
I am committed to offering an open and inclusive practice, acknowledging that this requires active and lifelong personal work in anti-oppressive education.
As a member of the Â鶹Դ´, I abide by its code of ethics.
My first session
I offer a first session of 30 minutes, in which I explain the therapeutic contract and the boundaries of confidentiality.
Throughout the session, you are welcome to ask any questions you want. I will be happy to share more about my training and approach.
I will be interested to hear what has led you to consider therapy and any goals you have for the work. I will ask a bit about the broader context of your life, including family, relationships, and work.
If we don't feel like a match, I am happy to offer referrals to other therapists.

You may be interested in therapy because some aspect of your life is no longer working for you, and the way forward feels unclear. You may be feeling confused, anxious, stuck, angry, empty, lost, or grieving.
