About me and my therapy practice
My way of working is collaborative, reflective, and led by your needs and intentions. I aim to create a counselling space that feels safe, respectful, and spacious enough for you to explore whatever you bring, at a pace that feels right for you.
I work from a transpersonal psychosynthesis perspective, which views our difficulties not as problems to be fixed, but as meaningful expressions of different parts of ourselves that may need attention, understanding, or integration. In practice, this means we pay gentle attention to thoughts, emotions, bodily experience, and inner imagery, as well as to your values and sense of meaning.
Sessions usually involve talking therapy, with an emphasis on listening closely to your experience and helping you develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. Where it feels appropriate and supportive, I may also invite the use of guided imagery, journaling, mindfulness, or meditation. These approaches are always offered as options, not requirements, and we will regularly check in about what feels most helpful for you.
I work relationally and value openness, consent, and ongoing reflection within the therapeutic relationship. I am attentive to issues of safety, boundaries, and ethics, and I work in line with the Â鶹Դ´ Ethical Framework.
My intention is to support you in developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and an increased sense of choice in how you relate to yourself and your life.
Practice description
I offer a warm, reflective counselling space for people who feel stuck, conflicted, or disconnected from themselves, or who sense that something deeper is wanting attention. You might be experiencing inner tension, emotional overwhelm, a loss of direction, or a wish to understand yourself with more compassion and clarity.
I work as a transpersonal psychosynthesis counsellor. This means I support you to explore your inner world in a way that honours both your psychological experience and your deeper values, meaning, and sense of purpose. Together, we can gently work with different parts of you, including sub-personalities and inner child experiences, helping you make sense of internal conflicts and relate to yourself more kindly.
My approach is collaborative and paced with care. I primarily offer talking therapy, and where it feels appropriate and supportive, sessions may also include guided imagery, journaling, mindfulness, or meditation. Some clients prefer a purely conversational approach, while others value integrating meditation more explicitly into the work. We will always shape the sessions around what feels most helpful and grounding for you.
I aim to offer a space that feels safe, respectful, and thoughtful, supporting you to develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a clearer sense of direction rooted in your own inner resources.
If you’re seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, or a more integrated and authentic way of living, you’re welcome to get in touch to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
My first session
I offer a free first session, which gives us a chance to meet and see whether working together feels like a good fit. This initial session is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and to get a sense of how I work.
During the first session, we will go through the counselling contract together, including practical and ethical aspects of the work, so you know what to expect and can make an informed choice about continuing. I will also invite you to share what has brought you to therapy at this time, and what you are hoping for from the therapeutic process.
There is no formal assessment in this first session, and no expectation that you share anything you’re not ready to. The focus is on listening, understanding your needs, and seeing whether my way of working feels supportive for you.
At the end of the session, we can reflect together on how it felt and decide whether to continue working together.
