About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Joanne. I am qualified in Person Centred Counselling which is a non-judgemental, empathic form of counselling. I chose this way of practicing because I believe that the process of telling your story , whatever difficulties it may contain, to a qualified counsellor can be very powerful and healing. I aim to provide a warm, welcoming space where my clients feel safe to share their stories.

I have a Level 5 CBT qualification so am able to integrate CBT into my practice if appropriate.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute introductory phone call where we can discuss what you are hoping for from counselling. If you decide that you would like to go ahead, we will make an appointment to meet face to face.
