About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes life asks more of us than we feel able to carry.

You may have spent weeks, months or even years putting everyone else first, trying to keep going, telling yourself you’ll be okay. But inside, you might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected or simply not like yourself anymore.

If that’s where you find yourself today, I’m glad you’ve found your way here.

I know that reaching out for counselling isn’t always easy. It can feel vulnerable to trust someone you’ve never met with the parts of yourself you’ve perhaps kept hidden for a long time. My hope is that, from the moment we begin working together, you’ll feel accepted, listened to and never judged.

I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential space where you can bring whatever is on your mind. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you arrive. There is no right way to do therapy and no expectation for you to have the right words. We simply begin with you, exactly as you are.

My approach is rooted in person-centred counselling, meaning I believe you are the expert on your own life. I work integratively, drawing on different therapeutic approaches where they may be helpful, but our relationship will always remain at the heart of our work. Together we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences with curiosity and compassion, helping you understand yourself more deeply and move towards lasting, meaningful change.

The name Willow Wolf Therapy reflects everything I hope to offer my clients. Like the willow, we sometimes need space to bend without breaking - to pause, recover and heal. Like the wolf, we all carry an inner resilience that can become difficult to recognise when life has been challenging. Therapy can be a place to reconnect with that strength, trust yourself again and find your own way forward.

I offer both online and face-to-face counselling in a calm, confidential environment where you are free to be yourself.

Practice description

At Willow Wolf Therapy, I believe healing begins in relationship.

When we feel truly heard, accepted and understood, something begins to soften. We become less focused on surviving and more able to understand ourselves with kindness instead of criticism.

Therapy isn’t about becoming someone different. It’s about creating space to reconnect with the person you’ve always been beneath the pressure, pain or expectations you’ve been carrying.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress, navigating menopause, exploring neurodiversity, adjusting to change or simply feeling lost, we’ll work together to understand what’s happening for you and discover what you need to move forward.

Every client brings their own story, which is why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I adapt our sessions to your individual needs, drawing on different therapeutic approaches while always respecting your pace, your experiences and your goals.

Above all, I want therapy to feel like a place where you don’t have to pretend you’re okay. A place where you can exhale, be yourself and know that someone is walking alongside you.

My first session

It’s completely natural to feel nervous before your first counselling session. Many people worry about what they’ll say or whether they’ll become emotional. Please know there is no right or wrong way to begin.

Our first session is simply a chance for us to meet and see whether working together feels right. We’ll talk about what’s brought you to therapy, what you’d like support with and what you’re hoping life might look like if things felt a little easier.

You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable. There is no pressure to tell me everything in one session. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe for you.

I’ll explain how I work, confidentiality and any practical details, and there’ll be plenty of opportunity for you to ask questions too.

Finding the right therapist is important. My hope is that, whatever you decide afterwards, you’ll leave feeling lighter than when you arrived, knowing you’ve been listened to with warmth, care and genuine acceptance.
