About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Sue, and I’m a therapeutic counsellor. I’m passionate about supporting people through life’s challenges and helping them make sense of what’s happening in their lives so they can improve their mental health and wellbeing.

I work using a person-centred, integrative approach. This means you guide the direction of the counselling process, while I offer support, understanding, and professional insight. I provide a safe, calm and accepting space where you can explore the challenges you are facing, gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts and feelings, and develop ways to cope and move forward at your own pace.

I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, anger, grief, stress, trauma and family difficulties.

Alongside counselling, I am also a trained life coach, so I can help you not only process challenges but also recognise your strengths, set achievable goals, and work towards positive change.

Practice description

I offer a warm, confidential counselling space using a person-centred, integrative approach. I provide a calm, safe, and supportive environment where you can explore the challenges you are facing and work towards greater understanding, improved coping, and positive change.

Sessions are currently available online and by telephone. I also offer face-to-face counselling at various locations in the Wrexham area.

My first session

I understand that starting counselling can feel like a big step, so I offer a complimentary first session to give us the opportunity to get to know each other and see if counselling feels right for you.

During this initial session, we can talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you would like support with, and any goals or hopes you may have for the process. It is also a chance for you to ask questions about how I work and what to expect from counselling.

There is no obligation to continue after the first session. If we decide to work together, we can then arrange further sessions at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
