Availability
I am available for sessions Tuesday to Friday during the day, with some evening appointments available where needed.
I offer online counselling, which many people find helpful — particularly if you’re feeling anxious or would prefer not to worry about travel, parking, or directions.
I also offer in-person sessions in a wheelchair-accessible space. Please let me know if you need this when we arrange an appointment.
I currently have availability for new clients.
About me and my therapy practice
I know from both personal and professional experience that life can be hard at times, even when things look fine from the outside. People often come to counselling feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or quietly struggling to hold everything together.
Before training as a counsellor, I spent over 25 years working in senior management roles within corporate and technical environments. That experience means I understand the pressures of responsibility, burnout, high expectations, and the impact that long-term stress can have on wellbeing, identity, and relationships.
My work is client-led, collaborative, and paced according to what feels safe and manageable for you.
I work integratively and in a trauma-informed way, with attention to the nervous system and to how past experiences can shape present-day responses.
You don’t have to work anything out in advance — that’s part of what therapy is for.
Practice description
My practice is called Safe Space Therapy - which is exactly what it says. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore what's going on for you.
Sessions are led by you - whether you have specific goals you want to work towards, or a general feeling of "something has to change".
Primarily, I'm a person centred counsellor - my foundation is to meet you exactly as you are, and provide an environment where you can be you.
My core training is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you. I don’t work to a single model or assume there’s a one-size-fits-all way of doing therapy. Instead, we’ll find an approach that fits you, at a pace that feels manageable.
