About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to The Quiet Kit.
My name is Heather, and I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´). I work in line with the Â鶹Դ´ Ethical Framework, ensuring that your wellbeing, safety, and confidentiality are upheld at all times.
I understand that taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting. At The Quiet Kit, I aim to offer a safe, confidential, and professional space that is also compassionate, supportive, and empowering. I work collaboratively with you, at your own pace, to support improved wellbeing, mental health, and overall quality of life.
Practice description
What Is Integrative Counselling?
Integrative counselling is a flexible approach that draws on different therapeutic models to meet your individual needs. Rather than using a one size fits all method, I integrate approaches such as person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural techniques, depending on what feels most helpful for you. This allows therapy to be tailored specifically to your experiences, goals, and pace.
My first session
Free 15-Minute Consultation
If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. This is usually carried out over the telephone and gives us an opportunity to explore what you would like to gain from therapy and for you to ask any questions you may have.
You can book a consultation by emailing me at thequietkit@outlook
Please feel free to get in touch.
Assessment Session
If you feel ready to begin counselling, you can book an assessment session. This is a 60-minute session, available either by telephone or in person. During this session, we will explore your main concerns, your background, and what you hope to gain from therapy, so we can identify the most appropriate way forward for you.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
• Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy
• Registered Member of the Â鶹Դ´
• Trauma-Informed Coach
My counselling journey grew from working within charitable organisations supporting individuals facing life challenges, health changes and disabilities. This led to further work with people experiencing domestic abuse, as well as roles in mentoring and youth work. Through these experiences, I have worked with people of all ages, supporting them to cope with and recover from difficult and traumatic experiences.
Alongside my private practice, I volunteer as a counsellor with The Elm Foundation.
