About me and my therapy practice

I am an Integrative Counsellor with a genuine passion for creating an open, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can share your concerns and struggles, whatever your background or story. My approach is rooted in empathy, care and respect for your unique journey. I draw on evidence-based practices to provide effective, compassionate support. Whether you are facing difficulties or simply seeking space to explore yourself more deeply.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I blend Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural approaches to create a flexible framework tailored to your emotional, cognitive and behavioural needs. My work often involves reflecting on early experiences and relationships to better understand current patterns. There are parts of ourselves we may not fully know or understand - I aim to hold space for those deeper layers to emerge and be explored in a way that brings clarity.

I work relationally, believing that a strong therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. My aim is to walk alongside you as you explore your inner world, work toward your counselling goals and experience meaningful personal growth.

Practice description

I offer a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can explore whatever has brought you to therapy, at your own pace. I work alongside you to help you gain insight, develop coping strategies and create meaningful change.

Each session lasts 50 minutes and I work with both short-term and long-term therapy, depending on your needs and goals. This can be discussed and agreed upon from the outset and reviewed along the way to ensure the work continues to feel helpful and relevant for you.

I recognise that starting counselling can feel daunting, so I aim to create a calm, non-judgemental environment where you feel heard and understood. Whether you are seeking support with a specific issue or looking for longer-term personal awareness, I tailor my approach to suit you as an individual.

If you are considering counselling and would like to know more about how I work, please feel free to get in touch.

My first session

Before starting therapy, I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and to get a sense of how we might work together. I can also explain how counselling works, my approach and what you can expect from sessions.

This initial conversation is informal and carries no obligation to continue. It is a chance for you to share a little about what has brought you to counselling and to decide whether it feel like the right fit for you. I will also use this time to check that I am able to offer the support you are looking for.

If you decide to go ahead, we can then arrange a first full session and discuss practical details such as availability, fees and the length of therapy.
