About me and my therapy practice

How I Work

When life feels overwhelming or difficult to untangle alone, having a calm, understanding space can make a real difference.

Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, and I offer a warm, emotionally safe space where you can talk freely, feel genuinely heard, and begin to make sense of your experiences at your own pace.

My work is grounded in person-centred counselling, where the therapeutic relationship sits at the heart of the work. Alongside this foundation, I gently integrate principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supporting you to relate differently to difficult thoughts and feelings while moving towards what matters most to you.

Ultimately, my aim is to offer counselling that supports you in moving towards a more meaningful life.

Experience and Background

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years supporting people experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental ill-health and multiple disadvantage. I have also worked within NHS Talking Therapies and as a social prescriber, supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and long-term health conditions.

These experiences continue to shape my understanding of trauma, resilience and the wider social factors that influence emotional wellbeing.

Continuous Professional Development

In September 2026, I will begin an MSc in Psychology and Trauma (Child and Adolescent) at University College London (UCL). This reflects my ongoing commitment to trauma-informed, evidence-informed practice and my particular interest in childhood adversity, attachment and early intervention.

Practice description

My Therapeutic Style

My style is warm, calm and collaborative. I won鈥檛 rush you or push you into places you鈥檙e not ready to go. Instead, I鈥檒l work alongside you with curiosity, compassion and respect, helping you deepen self-understanding and move gently towards meaningful change.

As part of my ACT-informed approach, our work may sometimes include creative or experiential elements. Using visual or physical metaphors, simple props, or moments of movement can help bring insights to life in a grounded, accessible way. Therapy doesn鈥檛 always have to be heavy to be meaningful: sometimes a little playfulness can open up new understanding.

Who I Support

You may be living with anxiety, low mood, shame, self-doubt, grief, relationship difficulties, or simply a sense that you鈥檝e lost touch with yourself. Many people come to counselling unsure where to begin, and that鈥檚 completely okay.

You don鈥檛 need a diagnosis or a clear label for what you鈥檙e experiencing. We'll start from wherever you are right now.
