About me and my therapy practice

I work with individuals with an approach that considers both mind and body as a whole. I am an integrative counsellor grounded in person-centred theory. In essence, this means I will follow your lead and trust in your ability to facilitate personal growth by creating a safe, supportive environment. Once we have established a therapeutic relationship that feels safe enough, we can begin to explore your values and, in time, challenge the behaviours, thoughts, and attitudes that may be standing out to you.

Establishing a consistent relationship can facilitate exploring your concerns and various aspects of your identity. This process can enhance your understanding of how you relate to and connect with both the world and the people around you.

I’m a qualified Vinyasa yoga teacher motivated to promote well-being through the connection of mind and body. With specialised training in auricular acupuncture, I’m excited to offer holistic support to those seeking relief and balance in their lives.

I have experience helping individuals navigate various life transitions, including employment changes, relocation, and relationship changes. I have worked with professionals and students who have recently moved to the UK, helping them adapt to the cultural shift and facilitating their integration into their new environment.

As a recovery coordinator, I possess experience in helping individuals explore and understand their relationship with alcohol. This involves examining how alcohol impacts their self-perception, coping skills and their interactions with others.

My background includes working with survivors of sexual abuse, focusing on creating a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing and empowerment.

My experiences living and working with autism and dyslexia provide me with a unique perspective. This insight enables me to connect meaningfully with others who face similar challenges and develop understanding.

Practice description

I work face-to-face in the centre of Coventry, close to the train station.

I also work remotely via video sessions online.

My first session

I provide a complimentary 20-minute telephone consultation. After our conversation, I will share a counselling agreement for your review, so you can make an informed decision about proceeding.

When you decide to progress, we can discuss booking our first session.

In our initial session, it may feel like you want to dive straight in and get everything out all in one. I encourage you to take a breath and ensure we will  have time to get there.

I'd invite you to begin outlining a plan for our collaboration, including any scheduled breaks or holidays. We will also establish a framework for reviewing our work together, typically every 6 sessions, to ensure you are receiving the support you need and feel comfortable with our working relationship.

It may be beneficial for you to take some time to reflect on the topics or areas you would like to explore as we embark on this journey together.
